King Wok — Restaurant in Sugar Land

*Updated my Response: My initial review still stands correct concerning the food but I had an experience there that rubbed me the wrong way and makes me contemplate going back. I ate there for the third time with my sister again. When the waitress gave me the check another person took the tab, paid out and brought it back. I signed for it and kept on eating. The waitress that served us came over, looked at my tab and said to me No tip? Now mind you I did tip the last two times once when she was a waitress and once with another one but I wasn't planning on tipping that day for financial reasons. I couldn't believe she told me that. She kept saying where my tip? Where my tip until I reluctantely said ok and gave her a tip . That was very out of line and disrespectful. I shouldn't be badgered to give a tip. She did that to no one else but me. And if she did do it to someone else they need to correct her and she should be ashamed of herself.

Me and my sister were here last weekend and it was very good and fulfilling. This is one of the good chinese restaurants in Houston that's reasonable and delicious at the same time. They have a new employee that is rude and unprofessional.I had never seen this girl before. When I called to order she said hold on and put the phone down and forgot about me, all I could hear was talking and her moving things around so I called back and told her I was trying to order but was left on hold she didn't even apologize and just said so what do you want to order. She has a bad attitude. When we got there we had to wait a long time because she was taking orders of people that came in after us even though the food was ready when we got there. This is 1 of our basic go to dinner restaurants when we're in Sugar Land visiting my son. Cheap, huge portions & tasty!

• Bowl Egg Drop soup (it's a huge shareable portion)... we've also tried the hot & sour and wonton (too salty) - not so great • Steamed Dumplings - OK, next time we'll try the fried ones they should be better crispy • Moo Shu Pork - my spouse's fav • Shrimp Lobster Sauce - pretty good, huge shrimps • Lo Meins & Chop Suey - both pretty good • Egg Foo Young - pretty good • Sweet & Sour Ckn - OK but breading can be pretty heavy • We've tried a number of other dishes - overall the dishes are very good - will def post pics...
