Mazaidar Restaurant & Catering — Restaurant in Sugar Land

I never write bad reviews for anyone because I don't want to ruin their reputation but I had the worst experience at this restaurant. Last night around 10:00 I ordered a beef haleem with 3 naan to-go for my Husband, He picked it up around 10:20, he didn't open it or checked it until he reached home and when he opened the naan they were completely burnt from the bottom not over cooked BURNT (pic attached) all 3 naans were like that, In the pic it's scrapped but in reality it was much more worst. I understand that sometimes these things can happen but when I called at the restaurant to let them know about this that lady (Raheela) was extremely rude she started yelling on the phone and saying if you had seen it burnt why didn't you come back and show us? why didn't you call earlier? I told her I called but you were already closed. She said they can't do anything about it. The haleem was good I am not gonna lie but the naans were completely burnt and then the way she talked was very disturbing as well. I would have never written this review if she had been understanding and apologetic about it instead of yelling. Just to let you guys know if you ever go to this place always check the naan and if you order take-out please check everything right there I would suggest taste in even and do it in front of them so that they don't say oh! you should have...

Went for buffet at 7:00pm during christmas days when they were offering buffet. Buffet was supposed to start at 6:30pm still they asked us to wait 15 minutes. Finally they filled dishes with food. All the food was old, they didnt even bother to heat it up. 2 times they brought naan both times they were raw and had flour on them.

Thats totally disrespectful to customers. I couldnt eat anything knowing it wasnt fresh. Total waste of money. I did bring everything to the notice of cashier but she refused to admit that food was old and insisted that its all fresh. I paid $22 for nothing. Not going to try them again.

Response to Owner: Well, I was there on 26th December, 7pm and there were hardly 4 families there for buffet. One family next to me, also said, "what can we do, we have arrived here so might as well eat". I dont mean to hurt your business but you are doing it to yourself by giving old food, literally everything was cold, entrees, sweet dishes, but I think you guys know all that and what you are offering to customers anyway. I have never in my 5 years in USA, ate at a restaurant that served old and cold food .. it was just 3 days of buffet and even that wasnt good, not on 26th Dec atleast. I should have just put the review sooner considering how bad the entire experience was. I am from Karachi and this brand too but ... totally...

I would give this restaurant 5 stars for it's overall service which includes most of there dishes being great. We have just had their iftar buffet and yes not everything was great when it comes to there dishes. People tend to forget that every restaurant would have some dishes that are excellent and some might not be, but good customer service can bring customers back to these restaurants. At this restaurant, they had excellent haleem and good goat biryani as well, but there were stuff like nihari and gola kabob which were below par. Beside the food, one thing that stood out was their customer service. The front desk lady who was all over the place, trying to manage and also host. She would come back to us couple of time and ask us if we need anything and would let us know when the food is replenished. She asked for our feedback on the food and was very respectful to us throughout the whole time we were there. Last but not least, there dessert option was excellent too, which included kheer and fruits mango custard. I would definitely take my family there again and would recommend and take friends...
