Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Sugar Land

This is by far the worst location. My family and I love Shipley’s Donuts but this location is terrible. I haven’t been to this location is a while but decided to go since the weather was bad. Nothing has changed. The customer service is not the best and the Do-Nuts are not good. They don’t even look like Shipleys donuts. My wife and stopped going to this location six months ago because they get a complete attitude when you ask for hot fresh donuts at 9 am. I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t want to pay for donuts that aren’t fresh. They definitely need to be retrained. I see plenty of people have said the same thing yet nothing has been done. We all get that same generic reply saying you want to make things right.Make things right by getting some employees that have great customer service. If I want great donuts I visit the Shipleys on 90 and Murphy Rd. They have excellent customer service and their donuts are OUTSTANDING. You can barely eat their donuts when they give them to you because they’re so hot. That’s the type of customer service I love. My son recently visited the Sugar Land location on his was to school about a month ago and called my wife and told her how bad the customer service was. Dare I say the worst tasting Shipley's in the area.. I say this due to the taste of the glazed donuts. They put the very least amount of glaze on them. NO other Shipley's taste the way these do (and thats not a good thing) I have been there a couple of times out of desperation, due to lack of time to travel to another Shipley's and each time I've been hopeful, but disappointed. The donuts are dense and lack the essential ingredient... GLAZE.. The owner needs to visit another Shipley's and figure out how the other stores cook and apply their glaze so that it adheres to the donut and taste like all the other stores. This location is in my neighborhood and I will be happy when I can just travel down the street to get my donuts instead of several miles to get them. I went in to this location around 9 AM on 2/5/2022. Both the inside line and the drive thru line were very long (which tells me this place is a great location). I ordered my donuts and unfortunately they were very cold. I had to get to work so I didn't have time to do anything about it. Ate the donuts and they were still delicious even if cold. I took the survey on the bottom of the receipt to let them know of my experience. I was contacted shortly after by the owner of this location and we spoke out my experience. I was blown away that they reached out as fast as they did. In 30 years of eating donuts from a variety of Shipley's locations, this was the first time this ever happened.
