The waitress was nice and prompt. Only thing that gets me is if you want your meal a certain way. Why is it, that as a customer in their establishment. Should myself or anyone else have to go through a back and forth on how they want their meal to be placed on a plate/presentation. If I order a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit. However, I ask for that same Bacon, Egg, and Cheese to not be but together as a sandwich. But to just put everything on the plate same thing now just not built into a sandwich. Why is it I can't have it as such. I was told I can take the biscuit apart after they give it too me. Why? Maybe I just don't like it together or maybe I enjoy eating my Bacon, Egg, and Cheese separately. Its a number of reason I may ask for my food to be presented a certain way. However, for the manager too tell me it's a different type of meal of they did as such having me too be charged for something totally different. Because its not the Waffle House way. Really! So I'm buying a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit. And because I asked for the biscuit to not be place together but to just throw everything on the plate. Makes it a different meal, how so? Its still a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit just not put together. I thought it was THE most dumbest thing I've ever heard. I stated to the manager how is it you can tell someone how they meal should or shouldn't be prepared. Lets get this correct we as customers are the paying ones. We are the ones that bring business to your establishment because with no guest. Its no business and the business makes no money. No money means no restaurant and lost of jobs for those there. I told him if he came to where I worked we respect all request and food orders. We don't question anyone about what it is they need it that way or that we can't do any such request. Why because the guest should be able to get their food how they want it. Without someone telling them they can't especially with them paying for it and the establishment not knowing why it is. After agreeing to take the sandwich as such. The waitress brings my food and its exactly the way I asked for it the first time. But the manager felt it was best to let me know that and give me that lecture on all...
Read moreOk, so I've been going to this Waffle House for years, almost 2 decade's. In fact I worked at this waffle house, as well as North woods, at 16-18yrs old. So for me to write a review, things were pretty bad. The waitress I had 2 nights ago, I believe her name was Tammy, was TERRIBLE!! Although I don't work in the food industry anymore, I still hold an occupation that where tips are huge part of my income (hair stylist). If I treated my customers/client in the manner she treated us, I would STARVE! She asked "what do y'all want to drink?", 2 waters and 1 coke, left only to return 5min later to ask again. We waited another 10min when she returned w/ 1 drink, then back and forth 1 by 1. We had to repeat our 3x's bc she either interrupted or read it back wrong. After about 15min, she finally called out the order, why it took that long idk, they weren't very busy. 10min later she returned with 2 waffles, we ordered 3. Her response, "I know, it's coming". The other food came out, 1 missing a side of bacon. We tried to get her attention abt the waffle, again, and missing bacon, but she was to busy flirting with some sceezy drunk guys at the bar.. Finally we had to ask the waitress at the next table to get her. She comes over, we ask abt the waffle and bacon and she yells to the cook "I told you there were 2 bacon!!!". Then proceed to say "its not my fault". We asked if we could just have to go boxes and she gave us just lids!!! Finally we got our ticket and remaining food and the ticket was wrong. I briefly attempted to dispute it with her, before just giving up, realizing I knew menu and charges, 16yrs later, better than she did. Because I was over charged, I used her tip to make up the difference. I'm a firm believer of tipping and almost always tip abv 20%, not this time. So dinning here is fine, as long as u...
Read moreI love Waffle House, but NOT this one! It is my go to comfort food, or travel food.
I never thought that in my life time, that I would have an experience so terrible, that I actually felt comfortable complaining about a Waffle House.
We get there and its packed! I get that. A group of customers had left their table just before my family and I walked in. We waited a few minutes to see if they were ever going to clean off the table for us. Eventually we were invited to sit at the dirty table, assured that it would be taken care of. It was another 5 minutes before the table was cleared. 10 minutes goes by, and we get our order taken. Another 5, and we finally got our coffee, and the Apple Juice we asked for, for our daughter.
Out waitress, not only ignored us, (over her smoke breaks AND paying more attention to her phone behind the counter), but the customers next to us, who had been seated shortly after us (for so long that another waitress finally picked up her slack)
We finally get our order. It was right, surprisingly. The only ones that were on their game, were the cooks. They actually seemed to care about their jobs.
Other waitresses were griping at customers because she "didn't have any patience left". None of the staff seemed like they were in a hurry to do anything.
I will never return to this WH. I am honored that I usually recieve an active duty discount at the majority of these establishments. I usually add my discount to the TIPS anyways. I didn't even bother to ask here. I didn't even want to leave anything for a TIPS.
(BTW its not a tip/gratuity/entitlement, its a T.I.P.S. - To Insure Proper Service. If service sucks, there is...
