A Taste of Colombia in Sunny Isles: Mega Chuzo Delivers Mega Chuzo, nestled in the heart of Sunny Isles, offers a vibrant and authentic taste of Colombian cuisine. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of sizzling meats and the lively atmosphere transport you straight to Colombia. This isn't your average Colombian restaurant; Mega Chuzo lives up to its name, promising generous portions and bold flavors. During my visit, I had to try the restaurant's namesake, the Mega Chuzo. This massive skewer is a carnivore's dream, loaded with a variety of grilled meats, from juicy steak and flavorful chicken to savory chorizo and more. It's a feast for the eyes and the stomach, perfect for sharing (or tackling solo if you're feeling ambitious!). The meats were cooked to perfection, each with its own distinct flavor profile, and the accompanying arepas and sauces added a delightful touch. Beyond the chuzo, the menu boasts a wide array of Colombian classics. I also sampled the empanadas, which were crispy and filled with a savory mixture of meat and potatoes. My dining companion raved about the bandeja paisa, a traditional Colombian platter overflowing with beans, rice, plantains, avocado, chicharrón, and a fried egg. It's a true taste of Colombian culinary heritage. The service at Mega Chuzo was warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly and attentive, happy to explain the menu items and offer recommendations. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. If you're looking for an authentic and satisfying Colombian meal in Sunny Isles, Mega Chuzo is a must-try. The generous portions, flavorful dishes, and lively atmosphere make it a standout. Come hungry, and be prepared to be impressed! Highlights: Mega Chuzo: The restaurant's signature dish is a must-try for meat lovers. Generous portions: Be prepared for ample servings of delicious food. Authentic Colombian cuisine: The menu features a wide variety of traditional dishes. Friendly service: The staff is welcoming and attentive. Overall: Mega Chuzo offers a true taste of Colombia in Sunny Isles. Whether you're a seasoned aficionado of Colombian food or just looking for a delicious and satisfying meal, you won't be...

Well, my 5 star for the food it’s not in question here, the food over all it was food , not the beans tho Which they were old and spongy taste, it’s the service. Very rude ladies what can I tell … The way they look at you because you ask several times for the check it’s uncomfortable and unacceptable by the staff that I believe customer service is always first before anything else.

I will never ever order food from this place or every dine again, why would a waitress get mad because I ask several times for my check then when I got my check it’s was the incorrect one which I was happy to pay but it’s wasn’t mine. Mine was $100 dollars total, the receipt that she brought to me the first time was a $32 dollars check, I was doing her a favor.. different people will pay quietly and leave. After that, they still want me to Tip for the Service which I never received to begin with, and by the way they charge you an extra service fee of I believe it was 10% added to your total amount imagine coming here with a party of 5 and getting charge 10% extra service fee without your knowledge and still have the audacity to claim for a Tip. These two young waitresses should get fired bad for customer service, they don’t even speak English and they still talk S… about customer in theirs back without knowing that I speak Spanish very well. Very Sad to see these restaurant become what it now, back in 2010’ when they were small it’s...

AVOID!! Do not ignore bad reviews, this place is horrible! I have restaurant experience and I am a local regular, I get food here when I don’t want to drive more than 3 minutes and don’t want to wait an hour for delivery but I’m done. The good reviews are either fake, friends of the restaurant or tourists who don’t know any better. I will never eat from here again, main reason is the employees, you’ll get better service at McDonalds next door, I never complain, always have a good attitude but they’re service always sucks. Take out food is either wrong, very delayed even if the restaurant is empty (it usually is), or just plain bad quality. If you ignore this review and don’t mind the bad experience, inspect your food especially if it’s takeout. They do not refund anything for any reason, even with proof, “manager” said you know there’s a risk of getting bad food and you take that risk, WHAT?!?! The food itself is nothing special, they are VERY cheap. The atmosphere is also cheap, feels and looks dirty. Because of their unethical practices I will be reporting my situation to the Better Business Bureau and the city. If any employee reads this, note: it’s easier to do the right...

Megachuzo hit the spot for a casual Colombian comfort food night. I tried the Mega Perro, which came loaded with bacon, cheese, crushed potato chips, and plenty of sauces. It was messy in the best way, with a fun mix of textures from the soft bun and crunchy chips. The Reina Pepiada arepa was also tasty, filled with shredded chicken, avocado, and creamy sauce inside a warm, cheesy corn cake. Portions were generous and the vibe inside felt lively, with Postobon sodas and a spread of Colombian sauces on the table to complete the experience. Definitely a good stop if you’re craving late night Latin street food flavors in Sunny Isles.

this use to be one of my favorites places to go and eat Colombian food, but after what happen yesterday I will no longer go, I tried placing an order over the phone and the girl seem clueless of what I was trying to order, therefore I went in person and still she seem clueless, finally she understood and proceed with my other items. what I find very out of line was that one they put on the receipt NO TIP, and when I ask for 3 mores sauces they charge me for them, honestly I find it quite vindictive just because we did not leave a tip I couldn’t eat my food because I was skeptical
