The resort parking is a nightmare and even the Uber driver had difficulty in dropping us off at the door due to the tiny amount of driveway space. Two cars can’t be in the door area at the same time… it is so small! The seemed nice and helpful, no complaints there. They had tea and cucumber water available in the lobby all the time for guest use due to the heat and humidity of the area. Getting to the room took some time and effort… you could wait for 20 min, hoping one of the 3 elevators would show up - or take the stairs. Not sure why the elevators were so ridiculously slow but it was often faster to get our steps in on the stairs than wait for the elevator. The room was nice and spacious - except the bathroom. The sink was right behind the door, the commode literally to the left of the sink… then the shower (rainfall head) and bathtub shared the remaining 1/2 of the bathroom but were two separate pieces. There is a 1/2 wall of glass for the shower but it was insufficient to handle the splash from the rainfall shower head and we ended up with a puddle on the bathroom floor which took a full day and several towels before disappearing. The bed left a lot to be desired as it was weirdly lumpy, slightly hard, and very low set. My husband and I are both tall (6’5” & 5’10”) so getting up in the morning was a bit of a chore. It was maybe 12” off the ground… not ideal if you have creaky parts or old sports injuries. We didn’t go down to the beach since it was a work conference that we were completing but the view was nice off the balcony and veranda. The hotel catered our conference but I do not recommend eating there… they have a restaurant on-site, however, if you like eating - find someplace else or use Uber eats. Also, the “bartender” knew the basics of making adult beverages - add ice, a mixer liquid and alcohol. The precise amounts of said parts are irrelevant and, 3 attempts later, we left the bar with a couple very burned beverages. My husband requested a Vodka/Cranberry… he ended up with a rocks glass of 3/4 Vodka, 3 cubes of ice, and a hint of Cranberry to color the vodka pink. I braved a Tequila Sunrise… it was a rocks glass of 1/2 Tequila, 5 cubes of ice, and a splash of orange - no grenadine. He offered cranberry to give the red color, but I declined… not the same. This was the 3 attempt for each of us and we ended up not being able to drink the beverages. I blame the hotel for putting someone who was clearly unqualified in the position and felt bad for the kid because he was trying, he just didn’t know what he was doing. The other thing we noticed was that the building appears to have been upgraded recently but some of the revisions are not working out. The paneling on the wall is falling off random places; there were lights in the ceiling that were missing covers; drywall was missing in some of the hallways and rooms. Oh, and 1/2 of their A/C units were not working consistently and repairs couldn’t be completed until after we were leaving. It makes for a hot conference room when there are only 4 floor fans running. In all, we decided that we will not be back… the overall experience was mediocre at best and, had we covered the cost, there would have been a lot more complaining to staff about the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sole Miami Hotel in Sunny Isles, and I can't express how incredible my experience was. I was there with my wife and my little daughter to spend some vacation time by the beach and to celebrate my daughter's 6th birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional customer service that truly set the tone for our entire vacation.
The level of professionalism exhibited by the staff at Sole Miami is truly remarkable. Every staff member we encountered was not only courteous and attentive but also genuinely eager to ensure that our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. It's clear that the team at Sole Miami goes above and beyond to create a welcoming atmosphere for their guests.
The cleanliness of both the facility and the beach area is worth applauding. The entire hotel was spotless and well-maintained. I was able to fully relax and unwind knowing that the cleanliness standards were impeccable. The pristine beach just steps away from the hotel added an extra layer of delight to our vacation.
During our stay, I encountered a minor hiccup when the air conditioner in my room broke down. However, the way the hotel staff handled this situation was beyond impressive. Not only did they swiftly address the issue, but since it required major repairs, they upgraded me to a stunning front ocean view suite at no additional cost. This unexpected gesture of generosity not only resolved the inconvenience but also left me speechless by the hotel's commitment to ensuring their guests' comfort.
Sole Miami's attention to detail, commitment to excellent customer service, and the willingness to go the extra mile truly made my vacation exceptional. The breathtaking views from my suite, combined with the sound of the waves crashing on the shore, created an atmosphere of pure relaxation. Whether I was lounging by the pool or strolling on the beach every moment was a testament to the hotel's dedication to providing an unforgettable experience.
In conclusion, my stay at Sole Miami Hotel in Sunny Isles was nothing short of spectacular. The outstanding customer service, impeccable cleanliness, and the way they handled unexpected challenges made this vacation one for the books. Read moreI really had a pleasant stay here and want to give it a 5-star review, but there are few things that prevent me to do so which I will include below.
Room - I had the Ocean View room on the 21st floor which was majestic! great view of the ocean and the beach both from the room and the living room! It was very spacious, comparable to sizable 1 bedroom apartment with a living room with a gigantic full-size mirror my wife loved, 1.5 bathrooms, bedroom with a tv, and fully functioning kitchen with microwave, induction, refrigerator and dishwasher. I really liked the bath tub which was deep, and overhead shower providing vertical flow. As you can see from the photos, the view and balcony were amazing.
Service - No real complaints of the service, the staff were courteous and fast. Housekeeping was pretty good, and they take care of your dirty dishes as well. I do wish the front desk had changes for my $20 bills so I could break them for tips. There were spots on the kitchen surfaces that were not cleaned.
Location - Sunny Isles Beach is a great location. The beaches are pretty and quiet, and the hotel give you access to the beach spots with towels and everything. Also, there is Walgreens and decent restaurants within 10 min walking distance, which is a big plus. Downside is that it's quite a ride if you want to hit up the main areas of Miami Beach or Miami.
Misc - Elevators is the worst part of the experience. The hotel does not have a separate service elevator for its staff, meaning all the house-keeping and service share the same 3 elevators. Not sure if this was the reason, but the elevators were constantly backed up and during my 5-day stay, and it was common to see people waiting 5 minutes, and then the elevator stopping on multiple floors. The building is bit old, so you will find some minor faults with the hotel or rooms. For example, one of the reading lights would just not turn off in the room, and I had toilet switch that kept getting suck. but these were pretty negligible. There is also a daily resort fee of $50+ on top of your room booking fee you have to pay separately. So paying $250+ for my stay and I went out to the hotel beach once for maybe 30 min... so this was more or less excess charge for us. Also, there is no walk-way to get to the street, meaning you have to walk down the ramp where cars come up and down.
Overall - Despite my complaints of few items above, the stay was wonderful and the ocean view is one of the best views I have had. The spacious room and beautiful vibe of Sunny Isles Beach really made the stay worthwhile. I would def....
