EDIT: Went back again today and had amazing service from Yaire and Karina (manager). Food was great and service was on point. We felt very attended to. Wanted to come back and change my review because a redemption was absolutely necessary. We stopped coming for a while to this location because of our last experience but decided to give it a shot today. I’m so glad we did. Tried the stuffed ziti frittata which I would highly recommend. It was delicious and cooked perfectly and both our drinks were excellent. We didn’t sit at the bar this time but noticed the same bar tender was there from the last time we were here and she always does an amazing job.
FIRST REVIEW: I never leave reviews but I will this time because I’m not happy with how we were greeted or spoken to by the hostess and potentially hostess manager in the front. Walking in they were busy, granted I don’t expect to get greeted immediately however there was zero greeting from the hostess and she just asked “for two?” It’s as if she didn’t want to be there. We said yes and she told us the wait was 20 minutes. That was fine because whenever me and my husband go to this Olive Garden, we sit at the bar. We love the bartenders and the service over there and we want to watch sports. She told us again that it would be 20 minutes but there was absolutely no one at the bar. That’s when the hostess manager walks up and my husband says but there is no one at the bar. The hostess manager didn’t greet us at all or ask us what the issue was, just came up with a nasty attitude looked back at the bar and said well if that’s what you want, we’ll follow you. She didn’t even follow us. We sat ourselves at the bar like we typically do. I’m just upset because I love this Olive Garden because the bartenders are always amazing and I don’t think I’ve had a bad hostess experience in Vegas in the 6 years that I’ve been here. Granted it could’ve been our clothing choice for the evening but it’s Olive Garden. I expect a smile and a how r u at the very least. I’m not expecting the most immaculate service in the world. As we proceeded to get served by the most amazing bartender and I believe another manager, this hostess walked past us and started at us for the duration of our meal. Maybe it wasn’t her intention but I noticed she went right back to the front after we left. Tonight she was wearing a white floral shirt with a blonde pony tail and glasses. Hopefully she can be spoken to about her attitude cus she did not make me feel welcome or comfortable in a place...
Read moreI previously posted just a one-star review in September 2019, but the manager requested details as to why it was not pleasant, so here we go!
We came here for my father-in-law's birthday. Upon arriving, they sat us and we started checking the menus. My wife asked the waitress if the all-you-can-eat pasta special was in effect, and that’s when things started to go downhill. She condescendingly pointed at the fold-up tent on our table that advertised it like we were a bunch of uneducated chimpanzees. She then scolded us by saying we needed to finish half of a plate to get the rest packed up to go. I understand that’s probably corporate policy, but don’t tell us that like we’re kids.
From there, we ordered our meals. When she gave us our salad plates, the waitress said she had grabbed a plate that had not been entirely cleaned and would need to return with a final one for us.
No apology.
She then hands out the remaining plates and leaves my wife without a plate for salad. Common sense and chivalry would dictate the thirty-something guy (me) would be the one you’d want to leave out vs. the woman and the senior.
My father-in-law asked for another bowl of soup. When it arrived, she kept up the demeaning tone and told him, “You don’t have to rush.”
::eyeroll::
When our meal was done, we asked for a piece of cheesecake for my father-in-law’s birthday. She brings it out and says in the same demeaning tone, “I suck at singing. Do you really want me to sing?”
Then, when it came time to pay the bill, the waitress checks the Ziosk tablet at our table and when we haven’t paid yet, she asks, “What’s taking so long?” I have never in my life been rushed to pay a bill in a restaurant. We weren’t looking like sleazebags and we had a senior with us. We hardly looked the dine-and-dash type.
I totally understand paying and getting out of a restaurant fast if the place is slammed. That takes tips out of the wait-staff’s pockets. But that day? The...
Read moreCalled ahead before we got there around 5pm and was told there was no wait for a booth so I didn't need to put my name on the list. Get there about 12 minutes later and there is a 15-20 minute wait. Told the hostess we would like a booth. As we were waiting another couple walked in and was offered a booth in the bar. If we would of been offered that we definitely would of taken it. We had been waiting a while and the manager took us to a table. I let her know we had been waiting quite some time for a booth and didn't want a table. Their was two cleaned booths but she wouldn't seat us at either and walked us up back front to continue to wait. After a while we just decided to go sit in the bar. We put in an order for an appetizer on the ziosk. Right after the server came to take our food order and I asked her to please hold off on putting in our dinner order because we would like to have time to eat the appetizer. The appetizer took 25 minutes to come out. Our food came literally 30 seconds later. The chef who brought out our appetizer was the same person bringing out our food and he even said I know I just brought the appetizer but your food is ready. I kindly asked him to hold it back in the kitchen so we could have a moment to eat the appetizer. He came back two minutes later with our food again and then looked at us and said oh looks like you aren't finished with the appetizer I'll hold it again. This was frustrating because I specifically asked the server to wait to enter the dinner order. When our server came back with the dinners she said they had been remade but they definitely weren't, the noodles were extremely dried out probably from baking under the heat lamp for the last half hour. I had to ask for a water refill twice and it took 20 minutes to get it. Overall HORRIBLE service, will never...
