In the Game Sawgrass Mills — Restaurant in Sunrise

So I'd like to first start with a complaint and then move towards the compliments.

Complaint - Scott, assuming he is the Manager for this location and the Sales and Marketing manager named Aileen Mejias should be trained on keeping a smile and at least looking like they enjoy their job; this is more of a Scott issue but both can work on it.

We held our kids birthday there today and Aileen was incredibly attentive yesterday for confirmation UNTIL we asked that gratuity be removed from our bill when the flyer said it is not charged but appreciated. We got the,"Policy was changed recently" comment. It was taken off, but the service wasn't there anymore from her end. During the party, she was very rushed to just get things out and once she assisted the server with bringing out the items, she was never seen again. Neither manager checked in on the party or if anything more was needed. Very careless management on their end.

Compliment - Avery and Jocelyn were INCREDIBLE!! Avery should be the one running the place, because he has this energy that brings out the kid in us all. He checked in on our party when he saw us and asked us if we needed anything. Avery was also the one who sold us on this location and we booked with him just a couple days later. He has a very positive attitude and once he heard our complaints, he was apologetic and extremely attentive. Took care of our issues and managed the situation.

Next compliment is Jocelyn - She was awesome and I really hope she gets put on the map for promotion for her outstanding work. She was nice to all the kids and worked extremely hard with getting our food out and making it an experience. The party seemed to be set up while we were there and that was a bit of a disappointment considering that our play cards weren't completed until almost 130pm when they should have been completed before we arrived at 11am. Jocelyn though made the cards and explained everything in detail and was in the room making sure we were good. She was greatly appreciated and well compensated for her work. Gratuity wasn't her main focus which is why she was successful, along with Avery, to get a 4 score instead of a 3 out of 5.

That extra point would have been awarded if all management was on...

Book this place immediately!!! You won’t regret it! I have attended and planned dozens of kids parties between my 3 children and this was, by far, the best and easiest party I’ve ever seen. I price shopped, in person, about 6 different venues at the most popular places around me. In The Game was not only the most bang for your buck, but the costumer service was unmatched. I had a specific budget and a million questions and Miya answered every single one with the most pleasant demeanor. I was even able to get the glow package which was a game changer!! They gave necklaces and glasses and neon markers and it just made everything that much cooler! Kay helped on the day of the party, she decorated for me with all the stuff I brought, had suggestions when asked and I never had to ask for anything. Pizzas came out at the time I asked, refills were done before we even needed them, she served the pizza and filled cups, cleaned and was by my side, checking that everything was going smoothly. The manager, Steve, checked in with us multiple times, assuring we were taken care of and happy with how the party was going. He made sure my birthday kid was ecstatic by the time we left, and made sure he got exactly what he wanted off the prize wall!! Even got his baby sister a Bluey plush to make sure everyone left with the biggest smile. The whole party was flawless. Exceeded my expectations and then some. I honestly couldn’t believe that the event went that smoothly and was that awesome for the price I paid. Our drive home was spent discussing our next kids party there because it went so much better than I could’ve ever imagined. Service and attitudes were impeccable, the party smooth, and everyone had a blast. Every single parent in attendance was impressed and wanted to know how I found this gem. I could go on and on but this place was perfection. I feel so lucky I found this place and we’ll definitely be back to play and plan...

Leading up to my son's 5th birthday, my husband and I performed extensive research regarding the ideal location for his celebration. Back in March, When we first visited "In the game" (ITG), we immediately loved the vibe, friendly staff and the opulence of options. ITG offered bowling, arcade games, an escape room, food and beverage (alcohol for adults), and Virtual reality. It was a no brainer to reserve this establishment. The process was simple , no complicated forms or outrageous deposits were required. We simply went online, decided which birthday package worked well for us, selected add-on's , gave a $100 deposit and .... that was it. A week prior to the event, I spoke with Alexis whom confirmed my headcount and food selections. Alexis was detail oriented , walked me through all of my questions and ensured we had what we needed. The exceptional service didn't end there. On the day of the party, my husband and I were greeted with an eagered staff. Eagered to assist in anyway possible, from going out to the parking area to help shuttle our decorations to helping setup and host my guest. The team owned everything from food and cake distribution to adorning the party room. I was brought up to speed regarding food items the entire time and given options to bring out additional items or cancel.
