The Baked Bear — Restaurant in Sunrise

I've been here a couple of times and the Ice-cream is delicious and the cookies and coworkers are Sweet hardworking mostly young people. However, the manager is She Very mean and it is true that she is not polite in any way or form, and makes service unpleasant its true what the reviews say about her she doesn't seem to treat her team or other accordingly i actually felt bad for them having to put up with her. Today she charged me twice and said that it would go back to my card still haven't received it mind you i was paying from my credit card and she rolled her eyes like what you just charged me twice ... I originally only wanted i cookie but got tempted and decided to pay ice cream when i asked what she was going to due with the excessive Ice-cream i could not afford it , due to unfortunate *(gift card imbalance) she just dismissed me and said obxionxly just said BYE!! to me looked at me bad and didn't even answer my question .. i actually felt quite humilated as a loyal customer . I literally told her it was just a Question and that she didn't have to be rude about it and still she rolled her eyes . She Threw away good product she didn't have to do that its kind of of sad . Honestly , being a loyal customer that disappoints . Just make sure not to call the manager for any issue because shes an example of a manager that wont help much ;/ Plz take your time scroll through reviews about Manager she is mean it’s True .. I do understand his trying to not get bad review but that’s not the way defending bad customer service and body language , don’t even bother thinking the owner will support his customers he simply doesn’t seem to care about loyal customers and clearly prefers losing customers over hiring new more friendly manager or having a free pass I’ve been there numerous times and paid full price .. I work at the mall so I know how customer service works .. But my Gift card got declined , to my surprise I was not willing to pay full price at that moment thats not my fault , I was on my break .. so i did just end up purchasing just a cookie cause at the moment that’s all I could afford . But for that you still should not waste good material , it just says a lot . And my post is not untrue it’s kinda of Sad you guys throw away the icecream, how is asking what will happen to the Icecream inappropriate ? And then shame customers who have been loyal to you payed you always and customer just for sake instead of being acomadating ...

Do not go there if you intend to take the food home. We ordered 2 cookie sandwiches with the ice cream on the side so that we could take the dessert home. They charged us for each part of the cookie sandwich separately. So what was once going to be a $7 ice cream sandwich each became an $11 ice cream sandwich each. We explained this to the casher that the price didn't seem right and she just said that because we didn't have them make the sandwich and that we are taking it home that they had no choice but to charge us a la carte. So they pretty much made us pay extra for them to do less work. I asked them to please honor the price of 2 cookie sandwiches seeing as that's what we got and the cashier refused. Definitely won't be going back since they "have" to charge $20+ for two ice cream sandwiches.

Edit (2/15/22): Immediately after I made this review, they asked me to reach out, which I gladly did, and they still haven't...

My first time at The Baked Bear was honestly awesome! What really made the experience stand out was Stephanie and her incredibly warm greeting. I don’t usually eat ice cream, but my kids love it — and Stephanie was absolutely amazing with them.

She completely understood their little “ice cream language” when it came to picking toppings and flavors. The way she interacted with them made it feel like I had just dropped them off at daycare — I didn’t have to worry about a thing. She made the whole experience stress-free and fun, not just for my kids but for me too.

Stephanie truly made our day, and because of her, I’ll definitely be recommending The Baked Bear to other families. If you’re looking for a place where your kids can have a great time and feel understood, this is it. Way to go, Stephanie — you...
