Of all the Texas de Brazil locations, this one takes the crown for being the absolute worst. The chain has clearly lost its glory over the years due poor service, diminished quality, and inflated prices have stripped away any value that used to exist. This particular location is a definite NO GO. The Biggest Failure: Lack of Meat. The entire concept of a Brazilian steakhouse revolves around a variety of grilled meats, especially beef. Here, you're essentially tricked into filling up at the salad bar (which itself has declined in quality and items) while the only items consistently circulated are chicken and sausages. Beef, the core of the experience, was practically nonexistent.
During my 1.5-hour meal (8:00-9:30 pm) on a Saturday night, in a nearly empty restaurant, not a single server consistently came around with red meat. I waited 45 minutes before seeing anyone with churrasco, and when it finally appeared, it served maybe five tables in total. I had to hunt down my waiter (after 15 minutes of searching) just to request picanha, which took another 15 minutes to arrive and that was the only beef I saw all night.
Abysmal Service, waitstaff might as well have been in another space dimension or working in another restaurant simultaneously, because it was clear that they where not serving at this restaurant.
Once seated, they were nowhere to be found. Requests for basics like mashed potatoes or cheese bread became exhausting exercises in futility. Due laughable Portions for a party of five, in which we were given one small side dish of mashed potatoes (barely two teaspoons) and five pieces of cheese bread total, nothing more. Requesting refills was pointless; by the time the waiter resurfaced, and more may show up it is breakfast time.
Final Verdict, I thought the now-closed Sunrise Ave. location was bad, but this place set a new low. Between the lack of beef, vanishing servers, insultingly small side portions, and steep prices, this restaurant is nothing short of a ripoff. Recommendation: Avoid...
Read moreWe booked a table for 17 people on Saturday, June 28th. We arrived with 16 people, as the last person was on their way. The table was already set up, and we sat down, including a baby only a few months old, children, and elderly guests.
Shortly after, the waiter came over and told us we needed to move because they needed to free up one of the tables. We explained that we weren’t going to move, as we would be extremely cramped, and that our last guest would arrive any moment. Still, the waiter insisted, saying he was just following the manager’s orders.
We asked to speak with the manager, who came over already acting rude and confrontational, immediately asking what was going on in a very unprofessional tone. We explained again that we didn’t intend to move because there was no reason—especially since the restaurant was practically empty.
To our surprise, the manager said he needed the table because he “couldn’t afford to lose money” (how can a manager say that to a customer? Completely unprofessional). We eventually moved, but they quickly realized it didn’t make any sense, because no one came to occupy the space anyway. Even so, we were so frustrated and disappointed with the way we were treated that we decided to leave.
If the manager was so worried about losing money over a single table, he ended up making the worst decision possible: he lost 17 guests who were going to order the all-you-can-eat menu.
We left and went next door to Yard House, where, even without a reservation, they immediately arranged a table for all of us. We were treated with genuine respect, and the food was delicious.
If that rude manager wants to learn how to treat customers properly, I suggest he go have dinner at Yard House. They truly know how to value the people who choose...

I’ve been a Texas de Brazil eClub member for years and came here for a birthday dinner expecting their usual quality and service. Instead, it was a mess from start to finish.
I never received my $20 birthday discount email, but our server said a manager would apply it. One manager told me it would be applied, but the GM reversed it, turning a simple question into an embarrassing scene. Moments later, the general manager came over and claimed the discount was only for a first visit and birthdays just get dessert—although their website states eClub members get $20 off their next visit for their birthday.
The result was an awkward situation where multiple managers came to the table one after another, contradicting each other. It created an awkward scene, disrupted the dinner, and was frankly embarrassing. What a birthday. In the end, no discount was given. If you’re going to say no, just say no— don’t make it a spectacle. After paying the check, the GM asks me for my email & number so he can verify my membership for my next visit. Ridiculous. No thanks, I won’t be back.
On top of that, we didn’t get the standard sides (Brazilian cheese bread, sweet plantains, mashed potatoes, or fries) until I pointed it out at the end of the meal. When they finally brought them, they were cold and inedible. Also, the gauchos came by so infrequently that we spent more time waiting than eating. For a place charging nearly $60 per person before drinks, this is unacceptable.
This used to be a dependable dining experience, but the quality and organization have clearly gone downhill. Between the poor communication, missing basics, and lack of follow-through, it was not worth the money. I left more frustrated than satisfied. I won’t...
