We just visited the Sunset Valley location and I had the worst experience.
I am, ahem! WAS, a customer of the Southpark Meadows location but today I just happened to be up here and remembered I had a promotion from T-Mobile for a free cookie.
I have never received any freebies from any of the Crumbl locations and thought the T-Mobile Tuesday customer appreciation offer was cool. But boy, was I wrong!
First of all we were not greeted by any of the people working there. If anything, we felt discriminated by the way they looked at us, or should I say, “scanned” us up and down.
They saw us come in and went back to what they were doing.
There is a woman who especially made us feel unwelcomed. She is olive skinned tone, has long dark hair and lip fillers. When I asked for a cookie and showed her the code she said “oh! They’re still doing that?! I thought it was only last week!” In a tone of annoyance. I mentioned the code expires tomorrow and she didn’t even want to look and said she would go ask and turned around before I could say anything else.
She had us waiting several minutes and I almost walked away but wanted to see how everything would resolve.
She came back and said “Yeah, that is over.” To which I replied “No, expiration date is tomorrow” and tried to show her the phone but she rolled up her eyes and said “Fine, I’ll give you a free cookie.” I felt so unappreciated and judged. I really wanted to walk away at that point but then I wouldn’t be able to share the whole experience.
I felt like I was begging or dying to get something for “free.” We really had just walked in there thinking we were getting a token of appreciation from T-Mobile. Ha!
She made sure to laugh and loudly tell the other two women making the cookies that there was a guy that had been there and had given her “like 6 codes” and she was like “um, no! I’ll give you one free cookie.”
She turned around and handed me the cookie and I tried, again, to show her the code but she looked up and away and said “oh no, I don’t need it,” in a mocking tone. Then turned away before I could say anything else.
Now I’m here, feeling so disappointed, angry and hurt, but hoping I can save others from having a bad experience.
That “free” cookie is going to the trash because no human deserves to eat anything handed over with such bad energy disdain. And I’m on my regular trip to Starbucks where I’ll happily continue to pay way more than what one Crumbl cookie is worth for any one of their items because their customer service is...
Read moreSo I'm scrolling down my Instagram feed when I see the newest post from Crumbl regarding their weekly cookie flavors then it hit me... I needed to try them out! And let me tell you, I'm so glad that I did!
I got the:
Birthday Cake: Are you familiar with those sugar cookies with the icing on top that you can get from the grocery store? It's like that, but better. It's fresh and not artificial tasting. Not overly sweet either!
Hazelnut Mudslide: This one tastes almost like a brownie, but dense and with Nutella on top. Great chocolate flavor!
Cornbread: The idea of having cornbread in cookie form may seem a bit strange, but rest assured, it's GREAT! It tastes exactly how you'd expect, the only difference is the texture is more dense and chewier. This was very interesting! I'm a big fan.
Mallow Sandwich featuring Oreo: This one was probably my favorite of the 4. If Oreo ever made a soft-cookie variation of their signature cookies, it would probably taste something like this. I like how great the flavor comes off without being overly sweet.
You'll see I've mentioned "dense" a couple times to describe the cookies and that's what I like about them. They're big-size portions and are a lot more filling than they seem.
Overall, this was a great set of flavors they've had for the week. It's unfortunate these aren't permanent, however, I do love the idea that they have NEW rotating flavors every week! I have no gripes and no complaints whatsoever. I love how creative this place is. Even the price is very fair because not only are they gourmet cookies, but as I said, they're very filling too. With that said, they get a...
Read moreI placed a delivery order for 10/25/24 to be deliver at 11am. When called to let the Sunset Valley in Austin know that I didn’t receive the order the young girl on the phone didn’t really know how to look up my information which was fine. The young girl final found what she needed and she said that she could have it redelivered but didn’t know if it would arrive by 5pm. I let her know that I placed the order to be there at 11am and it was around 1pm when I realize the order had yet to be delivered. The young girl I guess got frustrated and hung up on me. I called back to as for a GM and they told me there wasn’t a GM and that they had several Managers. One of the Managers Ariana said that the girl didn’t know how to pull the information. It’s one thing not to know how to pull the information it’s another when you hang up on a Customer because you’re frustrated. This was the first time I had placed a big delivery order from them. Ariana seemed to have a hard time getting her words out and seemed to be pretty young which was fine, but I want to say is shame on you Crumbl Cookies for having unprofessional Employees trying to handle Customer issues. Very disappointed in this location. I typically will pick up from this location from time to time but now. I will definitely communicate not to go to this location. Just for the record the first order never made it to the location. They stated that the driver was new. So where did...
