What sets this place apart from other all-you-can-eat Korean restaurants is that it offers customers the choice of traditional Korean BBQ, Hot Pot, or both. If you choose the dual option, such as we did, expect to pay a pretty reasonable $38/person. See included images for an idea of what the menu and some of the prime meat, fresh seafood, and vegetables look like. The restaurant is spacious and each table top comes with a centered built-in grill for the KBBQ and individual flat electric burners for the hot pots. Everyone, including the greeters, servers, bussers, and manager, TJ, was very friendly and helpful but our servers in particular, Achi and Kelli, were excellent. It’s not unusual for a manager to do a courtesy walk through but TJ not only took the time to ask us about our opinions and thoughts on the food and service but he stayed to just have a friendly chat for about 5 minutes. Achi and Kelli were amazing. We didn’t have to seek them out. They anticipated our needs even without asking, which was outstanding. Kelli shared with us her off the menu item called “Dressed Dumplings” which was devine! The sauce was sweet, spicy, and tangy.
KKQ - we had the spicy beef bulgogi, KPOT short ribs, and sliced pork belly. The beef bulgogi was thinly sliced and just melted in your mouth. Wrapping the meat in lettuce with kimchi, pickled daikon, rice and dipping it in the ssamjang sauce brought it to the next level. The short ribs were heavily marbled and when cooked with a slight crust on the outside, it melted like butter. The pork belly was well-seasoned and the ratio of meat and fat was well portioned. It has a spicy note that entices the senses and makes one want more.
Hot Pot - for the soup bases, we chose the Szechuan spicy and the Korean seafood. Fair warning - the Szechuan soup base is SPICY and will 100% leave you with a tingling sensation in your mouth. The Korean seafood base is mildly spicy with deep umami flavor. We had sliced prime brisket, lobster balls, gyoza, mussels, quail eggs.
At the end of the meal, ACHI spontaneously surprised us with caricatures of us on a glossy sheet of paper. We also asked for two to-go drinks and she even drew cute caricatures on the foam cups as well!
We honestly couldn’t have had a better first time experience and we will definitely be revisiting in the future. Highly recommended. We need more places like this around for unique dining...
Read moreThis was our first time at this type of restaurant. We have thoroughly enjoyed hibachi and fondue, so assumed this would be the same type of fun experience. It was just stressful. Why our BBQ experience wasn’t up to our expectations: We were a party of 6 in a booth. It was cumbersome to get in and out to get sauces and toppings from the bar. The cooktop is on one end of the table, making it tough for share the food. No family plates are given for cooked food, only single plates. This made it tough to take all of the food off as it was ready. The food itself was just okay. Not excellent. Certainly not for the price. We went in thinking the cost included BBQ and hot pot. We were disappointed when we had to choose one or else pay $5 more per person. Our server was very sweet, but seemed overworked. We would have liked a bit more guidance on how the process worked and quicker turnaround of our cooktop. (It was burning to the point of smoking.) The price!!! At $33 each, we had much higher expectations. I think we would have all felt better about it if we paid the lunch price of $23. We won’t go back, but if we did, I’d want to bring someone who knows how to cook and season it for us. That tells me I just prefer the full-service experience. On the positive side, it was clean and had a neat atmosphere. I agree with another reviewer, the appetizer and dessert bar were our favorite part. The mango mousse and sesame balls were delicious. And we agreed the French fries were some of the best we’ve had. Again, not worth $33 per person for those items, though. I wish I could have a better review, but this was...

We had a great time at KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot. The overall experience was fun and memorable, but I’ll admit—it can feel a little overwhelming at first. If you’ve never been here before, be prepared: food comes out quickly, and there isn’t much explanation from the staff. You’re kind of left to figure it out on your own, which is part of the adventure but also a downside.
The soups were flavorful and tasty, and the hot pot bases like Szechuan Spicy, Tom Yum, and Japanese Miso really stood out. Once we got the hang of it, it was a blast trying all the different options. There’s a huge variety of meats—everything from beef bulgogi, prime brisket, sliced pork belly, chicken bulgogi, to seafood like garlic shrimp, mussels, and squid. The noodles (ramen, udon, vermicelli) and vegetables (bok choy, mushrooms, spinach, napa cabbage) gave us tons of ways to mix and match flavors.
It’s an all-you-can-eat setup, and if you come with a bigger group (like we did—6 people), they automatically add 18% gratuity. Our bill came to $325 plus gratuity, so it’s definitely on the pricier side, but considering how much food you get, it’s worth it for the experience. We only waited about 20 minutes for a table, which wasn’t bad for a busy evening.
If I had one critique, it’s that I wish the staff explained things better for first-timers. It’s a little chaotic until you figure out what’s what, but once you do, it’s smooth sailing.
Overall, the food was good, the variety was excellent, and the experience was unique and enjoyable. A great spot to come with friends or family if you want to eat a lot and try...
