We made a fairly large purchase, part of that purchase was two of the sourdough burger meals before traveling to the city a few evenings ago now, when we began to the sourdough burgers we were disgustly disappointed that the buns had not been toasted, they were extremely and unpleasantly soft for such hearty meat. After attempting to call we decided to return with our receipt as soon as we were able which was a day later. When I spoke to the manager on duty Dora, she informed me that the owner does not want the customers compensated without the return of food. How bogus. If I had to turn around from heading to the city I would have wanted much more than replacement of my food for the inconvenience and even money for my charging.
She then asked for pictures which I didnât think of taking. After I pointed out the obvious, she said âeveryone makes mistakesâ. Exactly! So, its inappropriate to expect me to fix my mistake of not turning around and also not thinking of taking pictures. If this is accurate This checkers owner should not be so greedy towards his customers of some years and compensate accordingly for his staffs mistakes. Which in actuality that seems like no mistake but laziness trying to cut a few corners since we had a large order and there was a vehicle behind us. Pretty bad. It doesnât seem to get worse than this. When we came through with our receipt I hadnât wanted replacement since we had just eaten dinner at another local fast food place but i did want to receive a credit for next time but she was unwilling. It sounded like she deals with a very stingy owner that doesnât mind if the customers are paying but not receiving and maybe he even prefers it to fatten his pockets. This type of person is the worst and itâs hard to want to continue to return when things like this happen and itâs allowed. I see a fake email address is also given. Letâs just cook at home people. They sell checkers brand fries now at the grocer.
Went back and they offered to replace the two burgers and said if I wanted cash credit I should have turned around the same day. They should have toasted the buns the same day! Wonât return! Itâs too hit or miss. Hoping it closes down along with all the others. Just bc of the type of people...
   Read moreHorrible customer service and false advertising. I was on my way to work and kind of in a hurry so I looked up what was open nearby and stopped in to get something to eat. Google maps, their website and the sign on the door said they open at 10am so I went through the drive thru a little after 10am and waited a few minutes. Eventually someone said on the speaker "we're closed". I asked "what time do you open?" and got no reply. I waited and asked again, still no reply. I looked online again to make sure I was right about the time and I drove around to the door and everything said 10am. It was about 10:15am by this time. We went inside and the door was open and they said "you can't come in, we are closed". I pointed to the sign and they said "too bad, get out". So rude. I told them they need to change their sign and I left. Ended up being 20min late for work and never got to eat anything because they wasted my time. These people need to be fired, if they can't do their job and couldn't even be friendly enough to apologize for their own errors or tell me the first time that they weren't going to open on time.    Read moreI don't really have words to say about these places I thought that the service was bad just the one that I visited but it seems as of all the locations have the same issues, so I have decided to take them off the list of fast food places to eat. The food I have no doubt is good when made correctly, but it's the people who works at these places and their attitudes towards customers that really gets me. Having someone to choose to patronize your establishment is a privilege and not a right, but the staff seems to think the opposite and there for comes the attitude because they got your order wrong or the fact that you have to repeat your order multiple times and they still gets it wrong. I really hate saying this because I really like checkers but not any longer and I couldn't and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. And my job is about 5 minutes from a Checkers and I drive 12 in the other direction to get food. I hope that things get better, but until then it's not the...
