Went to the Waffle House in Suwanee GA, off of Lawrenceville Suwanee Road near I-85 today, 08 March 2021. For the most part, our Food was ok. However, our waitress didn't bring my Pecan Waffle at the same time she brought our Food (Main Course). The delay on the Waffle was by 10 minutes. So, since we were both finishing eating our meal. I had to ask our waitress to take the Pecan Waffle off of our Bill/Ticket. What bothers me is when we arrived, no other customers were at this Waffle House btwn 6:10 AM - 6:20 AM. Even after we ordered our Food, there were only 3 other guests/customers to serve. It wasn't RUSH or CRUNCH time. From experience, you should NEVER go to eat at Waffle House during, close, or immediately after a Shift change. When Waffle House employees change shifts, the level of service + how long it takes them to take and fill your order decreases. The employees who are getting off aren't interested in customer service because they're tired and are more interested in going home (understandably so). The employees coming to work aren't concerned with getting it in gear because their either late to work, too sleepy, still trying to wake up, or taking time out to chop it up (hold conversation) with their co-workers who are going home. In their defense, often the employees from the prior shift dont complete their work which adversely affect the on coming crew (shift). The result is a delay in your order being placed and a delay in receiving 1 or more of the items you requested. I believe either our waitress or line cook totally forgot about the Pecan Waffle I ordered or didnt process the order in a timely manner. Most Waffle House(s) are on point. Read moreThe atmosphere of this Waffle House needs to be addressed. From the moment me and my family walked in to the moment we walked out we felt very uncomfortable. First problem, a server by the name of Bri refused to take our table and had another server Ben take our table and his behavior needs to be shouted out. He was absolutely amazing and despite everyone making fun of him right infront of customers he held it together and made sure we felt comfortable. Second problem, towards the end of our meal another server (not sure exactly who) was cussing at some other people threatening to “beat their a**” right infront of everyone. At this point my family and I walked out. The behavior of these servers was utterly disgusting especially the way they treated our server Ben. Im not sure if these other people were also employees, just not on the clock, but it seemed like they were employees because they all told us to have a great night as we left and one even held the door for us. Third problem, one cook decided to cuss at ben about gravy because she didnt hear him when he said they needed gravy when i listened to him say it not once, but twice. Ben was also very surprised when he recieved a 20% cash tip from my mother saying he has never recieved that kind of tip before, i personally find it very hard to believe he is not getting tips, from the way he greets and acts toward his customers, he was very warm and welcoming while he is made fun of for actually doing his job and...
Read moreThis Waffle House needs a new manager IMMEDIATELY! The grill operator (Lorry or something I forgot her name) is not only rude to customers, but rude to coworkers as well. The servers were the only redeeming aspect of my experience as they were simply trying their best. I had ordered 4 eggs scrambled light and what I got was an absolutely disgusting, inedible mess. When I brought this up to my server she was thankfully very understanding and handled the situation like a pro, but the cook was extremely unprofessional, even talking to herself about how ungrateful I was when I was within earshot. Not only that but she was very clearly distracted and on her phone while operating the grill, not being attentive at all and letting some food BURN and demanding that servers send the food out only to snap at them when they understandably brought it back due to customer dissatisfaction. All this led to me losing my appetite and deciding to leave. I left the biggest tip I possibly could for my server because she was great.
