Worst experience I've ever encountered at an Applebees or any restaurant for that matter.
To start, our seats were all dirty in the booth. We wiped them off and it wasn't a big deal However, I wasn't aware the quality the the visit was about to entale.
After 10 minutes of waiting for the waitress to come greet us, she took our drink orders. Again, maybe pushing it a little bit. Until it took another 15 minutes for the drinks to come out. Asked for three waters, two long island teas, and a bottle of beer. We recieved 2 waters, followed by two long island teas, then the beer finally showed up probably 25 minutes after ordering it.
Dinner took about 45 minutes to show up after ordering. Food temperature tasted like it was sitting long before the waitress brought it out. There was a really disgusting hair in the salsa that came out with the chips. And half of the chips fell off the plate when the waiter set them down. "Hope the table is clean" he said jokingly. Little did he know, we knew he wasn't actually joking.
All of this could have possibly been overlooked (not), however it was very clear throughout the 2 hours we were sitting there, of the quality of service that a few other tables were experiencing...
To the table of girls who were sitting next to us before we got there and still didn't have all of their meals after we got ours, I really feel for your pain and anger. The professionalism of the staff in response to this tables simple and understandable request for an update when their food was coming out was unbelievable. I've been in a customer service role for the majority of my working career and you should never talk back to customers the way I witnessed tonight. Then to make the matter worse, the waitress tried making up all of these horrible attempts at excuses for the male waiters behavior towards them. And lastly, the manager on site refused to come out.
Fortunately for us, we used the computer screen to pay our bill at the table. Quickest part of the night.
As we walked out, a family requested their tip be given to a girl who wasn't even waiting on them because she helped them more than their own waitress. Topped the visit off the only way it could have.
Moral of the story, don't go here unless you want cold food, slow service, and poor...
Read moreAbsolutely HORRIBLE carside service!! I ordered the 8 oz sirloin with steamed broccoli and a baked potato. I have some dietary restrictions, so I asked what their steak is cooked in. I was told it was soybean oil (which I cannot consume), but that they can leave that out. I also asked that they didn't put any butter, oil, or seasonings on anything. The man who was taking my order then told me to come into the bar area because they were "too busy" and may not be able to bring it out to me, which defeats the whole purpose of CARSIDE service. When I responded with "oh, ummmmmm, ok", he said nevermind and that he would personally bring it out to my car. He asked what kind of car and after I told him, he hung up the phone without saying anything else. When I arrived, it took almost 10 mins for someone to come out, and she told me she had no order for me. I told her, again, what I wanted. She came back out another 5 or so mins later and said that they DID have my order and it was already made, then she went back in for several MORE mins and finally brought it out. When I got home I opened the container and found that the broccoli was absolutely DRENCHED in butter, the steak was well done (I asked for medium - THREE times), and was also slathered in seasonings and butter. The baked potato had no toppings as requested, however from being in the same container as the other items, also had butter on the skin. This whole debacle took over 40 mins out of my life, $16ish dollars, and I couldn't even eat ANY OF IT!!! I will never, ever eat here again. Read moreMy boyfriend and I just left this restaurant. This was absolutely the worst service I have ever received. The waitress kept constantly screwing up our check, and another waiter brought us the wrong food. Seems to be lack of communication or just lack of pure common sense in the whole restaurant. Every waiter and waitress thought everything was hysterical but if it happened to them, I'm sure they wouldn't be laughing. I work in customer service, I'm actually a manager in a retail environment and if any of them worked for me, they wouldn't get very far. Seems that management has a lazy work ethic there and doesn't hold anybody accountable for anything. I will not deny that our waitress was nice, but I think it was to make up for her own lacking in all areas of customer service, and basic people skills. We also had another waitress bring our french onion soup to the table with another young waiter (who maybe was in training) and they had brought only one french onion soup when we each had ordered one, and in the chaos, the waitress seemed annoyed and then told the young waiter to go ask "Charity"(I believe this was our waitresses name, I left all receipts on the table just so we could get the heck out of there) and then proceeded to say how "Charity" was on her nerves.
