BobaLust Tacoma — Restaurant in Tacoma

I can't believe I haven't heard of this place before. I'm so thrilled to have such a great Boba place so close to my home. The price is right for how big the beverages are and so delicious. I got an OG milk tea and added coffee jellies and it was perfect. Sweetness level, boba, jelly texture and size was perfection. I love coffee, but never had it in jelly form before and was not disappointed. My partner isn't a tea drinker so he opted for a Chococat smoothie (chocolate and raspberry). Once again, perfection: bittersweet chocolate and tangy sweet raspberry blended perfectly. Smooth ice, no rando big ice chunks which tend to throw me off of some smoothies. Luckily, he was happy to share since it was such a big portion and so rich. The minimal interior of the shop was spacious and clean. Lots of tables available and would be an excellent place to meet up with friends, (they're open till 11pm some nights). The central location in Tacoma, just off 1-5 and super close to the Tacoma mall and shopping makes this place a great place to refuel and treat yourself. We'll be...

The boba drinks are top end! The very best in the 2 hour area I've come across. AND THE BEST PRICES I'VE SEEN IN YEARS.

So why the lowered rating? The guy working the front counter, mostly. Bland, mildly rude, put a dampener on our visit. That said, we still have every intention of returning because the drinks were so good! But I'm a serious foodie, so his attitude might be enough for others to wanna hang back. Know yourself.

Everything we got was delicious. The signature drinks are, of coarse, the best—but the lemomade and secret items are a MUST try! My favourite was a signature of blended peaches and strawberry with peach chunks and jelly, but you might be more daring with your first try! My hubby fell in love with their lychee tea. ❤️

My partner and I were visiting the Tacoma area and I was craving quality bubble tea. Did some research and decided to give BobaLust a try. They offer some interesting flavors and I appreciate that they don't have a gigantic menu, which is typically a good sign as it causes a place to focus on making what they offer a higher quality. I'd say that the drinks are on the sweeter side for me, even if you order less sugar. I didn't feel fantastic after I finished my drink, so maybe next time I'd pick the minimum sweetness level.
