Great place to grab a meal when you're riding solo or with family/friends. There used to be an Elmer's in my hometown but it closed many years ago and I wish it were still open because the other options for similar restaurants don't hold a candle.

I visited on 6/2/25 ordered the Crabacado omelette with hash browns and it was delicious. I'm not a huge fan of avocados because most people/places use them before they're actually ripe which makes the flavor and texture way wrong for me but the avocado used was perfect, which may have been because it was cooked in the omelette. I was seated and had my order placed quickly because I knew what I wanted due to looking at the menu online before leaving my hotel while deciding where I wanted to eat dinner after being in a training session for work all day. It wasn't even 10 minutes from the time I placed my order to the time my food arrived still hot and steaming. The hash brown was more like large strips of potato shreds but they were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing, especially after a light dusting of salt and pepper to my taste. I ordered a Dr. Pepper which is typically my go to and I was happy to find that the soda syrup to seltzer water ratio was correct.

Service was great, the hostess was polite, smiling, and had me seated very quickly and my server was at my table just a moment later also smiling and polite. It wasn't packed while I was there but it was still early and I had seen the place packed the night before about an hour later than I had visited. The place was very bright and up to date as well as clean. As I was leaving the hostess was making herself busy by helping to clean and clear a nearby table and it seems that the staff for the shift when I visited was a team and understood how the restaurant...

The service is the only reason I don't give it a 1-star. I took my wife and twins to this establishment for dinner, our first time. The kids ordered breakfast stuff which seemed to come out fine. I ordered a medium rare steak and over easy eggs. I forget what my wife ordered but it was okay. When my steak came out, it was beyond well-done so I asked if I could get it remade. The rest of the dinner was okay, but when waiting for a total of 45 minutes to get my steak right, it came back to me raw, like they only browned the outsides. Luckily, the server immediately removed this dinner from my check and I had to finish the food from my family to feel somewhat satisfied. And this wasn't even the worst part of our experience. The entire time we were seated, the manager was vacuuming the dining area right next to our table. Here is the worst part of all, the bathrooms were closed down so my daughter and wife couldn't use the restroom and my son couldn't go in and clean his hands. I know we were like an hour away from close, but in my experience as a service worker, you NEVER close the bathrooms before closing and you ALWAYS clean after closing, when all guests have left. Not sure where this manager learned to manage, but he definitely was not courteous to the patrons of his establishment if he closed down bathrooms and vacuumed while we were trying to enjoy ourselves. Definitely will not even attempt to give this place a second chance. Felt like Denny's is a better place to eat than this cut-and-paste breakfast fake-it-til-you-make-it...

Haven’t been to Elmer’s in years as the one I grew up with had closed years and years ago. Upon spending a couple days down south for work my co-worker and self fell upon Elmer’s and were ecstatic to have some good’ol early morning diner food. This way have eating has become few and far between since my home area “the east side” becomes more and more bougie and pushes out the small business and nostalgia spots we grew up loving for condos and upper class steak houses. We both. There’s nothing better for two big boys than an over served beeping load of breakfast full of eggs to your liking, toast of your choice, and some protein. You know I gobbled up that country friend steak like a fat man running from a diet. I was so GOOD! Day two I tried something different and went for the German pancake which I actually had never heard of but was basically like a crape but fluffier and cooked into a bowl shape. The lemon drizzle made this thing taste like a lemon bar and it was an excellent complement to eggs and sausage on the side. On to the service. Both days were attentive and well done. An older gentleman on day one was super kind, fast, and on top of it. Day two a lovely woman with a WOW of a smile kind, and fast. Loved the nose hoop too. Note that this place both days had a huge company event so these workers catered to that and kept up with us tiny tables. Thanks for the nostalgic Smorgasbord!

Bottom line. Uninspired and on the bland side but executed well and that makes a huge difference for breakfast food. When you see a lot of older people at a restaurant, it's usually a sign of a few things, but the main draw on Elmer's in this location is that it lands its execution of the food. The food matches what you see on the menu pictures and it's consistent. The service is a well oiled machine and the place is packed on weekends. The food is not really seasoned, eggs and hash browns needed salt and pepper. The chicken fried steak, omelet as well as the cheeseburger could have used more seasoning and all seemed a little soft/could have had a crispy coating or bun, etc. The best item was the crepe with strawberry whip on it. The bloody Mary had a great flavor and did taste like it was made in house. I couldn't taste any alcohol in it though and wouldn't recommend it for the price. The kids menus with a toy mask in them and multiple pages of activities was amazing. It kept the kids busy just long enough before our food came rather quickly.

We came here hungry and left happy and full! What an amazing restaurant here. I came for breakfast and everything was fantastic. Coffee was great! Chocolate milk for my kid was amazing! My wife ordered German pancakes and a double order of hash browns on the side (to share with kiddo). The hash browns were cooked to perfection. The German pancakes were also amazing! No need to put anything on them, just a squeeze of lemon made it amazing. My son ordered a cub pancake. It came with chocolate chips on the ears, strawberry nose, whip cream and a cream cheese icing for the mouth. I ordered the dungeness crab Benedict and hash browns. The eggs were poached perfectly, as I sliced into them the yolk consistency was amazing. The server was friendly, attentive, and always kept our coffees full. I will definitely be coming back here for more food. 💯 Recommend coming here. I'll have to try lunch or dinner next time. Thank you Elmer's!
