We got there. I brought my kids to eat after 4p. There was promotion that brought us there. We have gone in the past. Never had any issues prior.
We get seated. They say your server will be with you in a moment. 15 minutes pass. A group of boys get sat next to us. The server approaches them, gets there drink order right away with 3 mins of them being sat. While were sitting waiting to even meet the waitress. She finally comes over to ask us if we want something to drink after she serves the boys next to us their drinks because she realized she never approached us. We give her our drinks. She then proceeds to ask us if we're ready to order because she realized we were sitting there before the table she already served. We order we tell her about our promotion we have. She sounded like she knew what we were talking and leaves.
15 minutes later, the boys next to us are being served their food. They eat and leave. We still don't have our food.
50 minutes later, the waitress comes up and says your food should be up in a moment.
A hour after our arrival she brings 3 out of the 4 meals, doesn't say anything. She walks away. 10 minutes later, I'm like we're still missing our pancakes and a whole meal. The waitress says, I know ugh and literally stomps away like a child. Doesn't even come back, rather her manager comes up and says I'm sorry the presentation of the pancakes is not ready, and we want to make sure they come put the way they're supposed to. At this point I could care less. You other getting a bad review for bad looking pancakes or slow service. She offers to comp my meal since I had to watch everyone else eat.
Another 10 minutes later, I get my plate and 5 minutes or so after that the kids get their pancakes and I get my side of pancakes. The pancakes were supposed to be free with the promotion.
We're done. We go up to pay. Somebody meets us st the front, attempts to cash us out. My meal is not compt. I mention the promotion. They go to their manager more than once for help. The girls are complaining they don't know how to apply the promotion. I told them to avoid out the two pancakes meals and thing it up for just a sausage, egg and hashbrowns combo and then ring up the pancakes separately and then credit them. They still didn't get manager comes out. Says that it'll be more that way. Tries to credit me, but only charges me more by ringing up 2 and 3 more meals. I notice it she's like ok. I said I should only be paying for 4 drinks, and two meals of sausage, eggs and hashbrowns. She says ok I understand. Again not right. I proceed to explain. She tries to tell she's right. After standing there for over 20 minutes. I'm done fed up I said just charge me. She prints a ticket for $10 more than what I owe. She can't figure out how to reprint the ticket for me to sign with the correct amount. I was done.
We were there for over two hours with bad customer service and people who were not trained. I should have asked for my while meal to be compt. It was the worst experience I've ever had with a restaurant. We may not...
Read moreIt breaks my heart to write this review... IHOP has been a family favorite since I can remember. I am 40. I have been a loyal customer bringing my 5 kids to enjoy IHOP's wonderful food the same way my parents did for me growing up. Today, Saturday 17 2017, my family and myself was thoroughly disappointed in both the food and the service. Just have been the luck of the draw. Our waitress politely asked us if we would like something to drink. We ordered 2 coffees, 2 oranges juice, and 1 Apple juice. There was just enough creamer for both my wife and myself to have one cup of coffee. We got our coffee as well as a pot. I asked for more creamer. Another person came back with the juices. Somehow, my daughter's orange juice was very warm, not quite hot but definitely not enjoyable. We order our food. At this time both coffees were empty, I grabbed the carafe to refill. It drizzled out almost an inch in the cup. Almost 20 minutes went by and we hadn't seen our waitress. She finally shows up seeming out of breath with our plates. Mine missing the hashbrowns, my kids missing the sidedish, and my wife still waiting. I dig in to my omelet. It was cold. It was cooked but had been sitting so long it was no longer fresh. This was the same case for my kids meals except for one. Her pancakes seemed fine. 10 minutes go by and another waitress brings my wife's food. I'm assuming it had been forgotten about and was cooked in a rush. Her omelet was not thoroughly cooked. Sheer disappointment. We were no longer happy. We didn't see out waitress for quite some time. I wanted to complain but the place seemed understaffed and I felt bad. We paid our bill not receiving my hash browns, my kids side dishes and still hungry from not eating. At the register we made our complaint. They apologized and gave us a 20 percent discount. Might a well shove a fork in my side. I will not put my family through that type of experience again. Tacoma is officially off the list of...
Read moreWe got here around 8:30pm on a Saturday. Once we were sat I immediately noticed how unfriendly our server was. She was a middle aged heavy set Hispanic woman (only putting for management sake). Maybe she was tired but she didn't smile or say thank you, please, or you're welcome at least not that I can recall. She got our orders and drinks in decent time but after she delivered the food she never checked on us again even though she walked past us 3 times. We had to physically get up and go find her twice. I ordered the steak tips which apparently come sweet even though it's not marked on the menu that they are and I've had them before and they weren't sweet. I told my waiter I couldn't eat sweet steak and she said there's nothing wrong with the meat so they don't replace it. I had to argue with her that it's not advertised as sweet and that steak isn't ever served sweet to get her to switch it out and then she said ok we will this one time but we're not going to take back the plate and switch anything else we will just bring you new meat. You lose more money by having a lack of Customer Service and just switching out one dish then you do by replacing an item. We waited 20 minutes at the end of our meal for her to come back so we could get boxes and checks and then we finally got up and got her. She lost out on a big tip from 3 of us and the food was sub par at best. I...
