Tucked into a small corner next to a gas station, Mimi Teriyaki is rather unassuming at first glace. This hole-in-the-wall spot couldn't be more of a gem however. The love and care (and good food) easily makes this place stand out and betray any assumptions you've had before entering. The place is clean, walls decorated with a minimalistic mural of Japanese Pop Culture, and the variety of food is expansive, though doesn't flow off theme. I ordered a Spicy Chicken Teriyaki with Fried Rice and my Dad ordered a Beef Short Rib plate. The portions served were HUGE and high quality. The beef short rib was perfectly savory, and the chicken teriyaki had a wonderful balance of mild sweet and spice. (I'm a personal hater of sickly syrup-sweet teriyaki, so this was some high quality stuff.) The fried rice paired well with the rest of the food and everything was served fresh and piping hot, and a side salad with a mild dressing wrapped everything together. Such a wonderful place that I hope blossoms in business in the future, the lady behind the counter could have been more friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend if you're looking for some classic "Washington Teriyaki." Vegitarian...

My boyfriend and I ate in. We ordered one of the special combos with teriyaki chicken and chicken love mein. Also got the combo appetizer with vegetable egg roll/gyoza. They gave us complimentary egg drop soup which was delicious, just enough flavor! When he gave us our appetizers he realized he gave us pork egg rolls on accident and we said it was no big deal we'll eat them anyways. A few minutes later he brought us out fresh hot veggie rolls for free. The teriyaki was very sweet and saucy but not sickly sweet. The long mein was probably the best I've ever had! It was super fresh not overly saucy, veggies we're plentiful, fresh and perfectly cooked with some crunch. Half way through we got free refills on our soup. Sharing an entree with some appetizers we thought that all this would be a perfect amount of food but alas, we still went home with some leftovers... I'm not complaining. Seriously though some of the best in house looks mein...

I came in during lunch time and ordered their spicy honey garlic fried chicken. Let me tell you it was one of the best Korean FC I had yet. It was a hot and freshly made with six pieces. Extremely crispy and stayed that way as I kept eating, did not get soggy at all. The flavor was definitely spicy, I felt the kick with a hint of sweetness from the honey. It also came with a scoop of rice and some picked vegetables. The bathroom is very clean and the customer service is as amazing. Greeted with a smile and left with a smile from her. One minor thing is that some of the tables surfaces were dirty but it wasn’t a big issue. Please check this place out, genuinely a hidden gem in the hilltop area. There just aren't words, but I am going to try. I was nearby and made a point of stopping by one afternoon. The moment I opened the door I was greeted by the most delicious chorus of smells. As we sat down, they gave us some egg flower soup (which was really, really good). The owners and people working there were super nice and friendly. After looking through a variety of options, we got the spicy chicken teriyaki and orange chicken. Spicy chicken teriyaki was one of the best I’ve tried! Their orange chicken was also delicious, flavorful, crispy and moist. I can't wait to come back for more! Friendly staff, well priced and the food is more than you can ask for…which is filing indeed. Try it, you won’t be disappointed! :)

YUM. We've been here a couple of times. Every time the food has been fresh, crispy, and worth the drive. The customer service was amazing and they even gave us some free samples to try! It's family owned by a a husband and wife Today we tried their new menu items... KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN. There's not a ton of Korean Fried chicken places in the area, but this by FAR, beats every place we've been to before. Reminds me of Korea.. maybe even better.. Their meat is juicy, yes the outside is so crunchy and crispy (don't even get me started on all of the delicious sauce options AND variety). We will 100% be back and I recommend this to ANY person who is a delicious meal. Our favorite was honey and spicy garlic!
