My main complaint was the food was terrible. I really wish this place the best and I hope they get their act together. But it looks like in terms of food, there are other complaints.
I had the pub cheeseburger and ate very little of it.
A couple of points. The roll was cold and somewhat stale. Most cooks set the roll on the grill for at least a couple of minutes. Not here. Completely unprepared.
Flavor of burger, was minimum, with some spice in the pickles that was not stated on the menu. Greens were not the right type, not crunchy, more spring mix which normally does not go with a burger. Burnt crunchy cheese was a pleasant surprise. Fries were clearly deep-fried right out of a frozen bag.
Only tried two of the beers, the Brewer was serving and working the orders. He was quite nice and pleasant, but the service was slow. Only one person.
The cook/kitchen really needs to get their act together. The meat looked very much like a preformed, frozen patty. Really disappointed.
One in our party parked behind the restaurant, and she felt unsafe. We escorted her back to her car at the end of the evening, which ended quite early for a Friday night.

Read moreMy wife and I were very excited to find a new Brewery and especially one that served food (which is oddly rare around here). Unfortunately, the food they served was very mediocre. My wings were over fried and very crunchy. Our pretzels were dry, had zero salt on them, and the beer cheese had the look of sitting around for awhile. My wives' cauliflower app was also over fried and meh (try Crown Bars' if you want an amazing example of what these should be). Salad was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. For this and two beers we payed $50, and frankly felt ripped off. If the food was good, we would have been fine with the price. The beers were pretty good thankfully, and so I hope the food will come up in quality over time. We love having new places around, and we're glad Black Fleet is here. This place just suffers a little because there is so much amazing stuff around Tacoma now, so Black Fleet has a lot of solid competition. I'm planning on coming back in a few months, and I'll update my review at that point. I really hope this place grows into...
Read moreNot a great experience in my most recent visit. Service was slow, and lacked confidence in knowledge of the products on offer. Several items were 86'd. When the food arrived 4 of 5 of our party was served and the food runner said the last item was coming right out. 15 minutes later we had to flag our server down who didn't even notice we had not received all of our order. Meanwhile the table across from us was given an order of nachos, the missing item from our table. I would think the priority would have been to complete the partial order before sending out standalone apps. Finally we were finished with the rest of our meal and again had to track down the server to just cancel the missing item and get the check. The apology we got was less than enthusiastic, mistakes will always happen, great service is in how you deal with those times. This was not...
