Miró Tapas offers a lively and flavorful dining experience with standout dishes and cocktails. The Spanish Daisy cocktail is a perfect start—refreshing with just the right kick. The coffee-crusted beef is rich and tender, while the bacon-wrapped stuffed dates are sweet, salty, and delicious. Both the chicken entree and the vegetable paella are beautifully cooked, bursting with wonderful taste and aroma. What really makes the experience special is the waiters walking by with small plates of tapas, inviting you to try new things you might not have ordered—making the meal fun, interactive, and full of delightful surprises. Highly recommended for anyone who loves sharing and savoring a variety of flavors.

Cocktails were fantastic. Lots of variety and creative twists on traditional drinks. Atmosphere was lively in a well decorated space. Service of the tapas was slow, which you CANNOT order a la carte, and instead need to wait and hope what you want passes by. Pack your patience because it may be a while and sadly it may never come. Food was “ehhh” when it finally did arrive. The ceviche camarones was bland, albondigas was as well. The best was the entree I could order which was the chicken thighs. Quite tasty. I will probably give it another try at some point but may just stick with the entrees like paella or pollo.

Dining at Miro Tapas felt like being transported straight to a street in Spain — I actually forgot I was in downtown Tacoma! The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, the service is friendly and welcoming, and the drinks are absolutely amazing. And the churros… to die for! Go and experience this gem before all your friends find out about it and you can’t get a table!

My husband and I and 4 friends came here last night(Sat), pretty excited to try Miro because we all love tapas!

The positives: *The hostess was super polite and friendly and greeted us with such a great smile. *Our server was amazing and took great care of us. *All of the Bandeleros were awesome- we didn’t have any trouble getting food when it came out(but we were right in front of the kitchen entrance) *The cocktails were all really good and creative. *And just about all the food we had was really delicious- our favorites: ESCALAVIDA(grilled veggies)even loved the eggplant. PAN CON TOMATES. SOLOMILLO was incredibly delicious- the tenderloin had really good flavor and was really tender. ALBONDIGAS(meatballs) both rounds were good, but first round was better. PIMIENTOS DE PADRON(fried peppers) sooo good! PATATAS BRAVAS(fried potatoes)second round was better than the first. PINTOS DE POLLO(chicken skewers) were amazing, but the green chili sauce put it over the top… we actually saved the sauce and used it with some of our other dishes. COSTILLOS (ribs) came out really late, but were worth it. And we ordered the petite raw oysters- very tender and flavorful.

The not as good: we waited a really long time for each round of our cocktails(one round took over 20 min to get.) ***Consistency of dishes-some rounds were better than others. ***I know the menu is going to be changing, but Some of the items we were really looking forward to never came out-the Salmon curado, Dungeness crab and poached eggs, both octopus dishes, the chorizo and goat cheese dates and were really hoping that another round of tenderloin would have come out. ***Took all night for a round of the ribs to come out( we actually requested it from our server and the Bandoleros.)the mussels were ok- everyone at the table thought they were decent, but I got a mouthful of crunch. *The calamari was ok- It was tender, and the breading light and crispy, but bland. One of my friends ordered the salmon but the order was never fired and it was on our bill, but our server rectified that. I can see how many waited even longer than us for food, as not much came out at a time—We were originally supposed to be a party of 10, but we were thankful we weren’t- nobody would have gotten much food after us. All in all, Miro has a good thing developing here. They have a great bunch of employees, good food, good drinks, but just need to work on logistics. Not enough variety coming out of the kitchen, not enough plates on the trays, and too long of a wait… they get this figured out, this place will be a GEM. We all said we can’t wait to come back in a month or so and see if things improve.EDIT:(food gets bumped down to 3 because of the inconsistencies, the wait, and the issues I had with 2...

I’m from Spain and went with another Spanish friend who’s also living out here. I wanted to love this place because there are no Spanish restaurants in this area. The location’s beautiful, and drinks and staff were nice. The first thing we noticed was the ham leg that had been butchered. It was horrific. Cutting ham is an art and knowing how to do it affects the quality and taste of the meat. Someone at our table tried it and it looked like the meat we typically use for soups aka the toughest part of the leg. I tried the garlic shrimp. Sauce was very nice but I had two overcooked shrimps that cost $14. The clams with “chorizo” were really tasty and I enjoyed them, however, the meat was Italian sausage so it was an incorrect description. The tortilla de papatas was probably the worse. Looked like it had been baked? Which is not how it’s prepared, super dry and the taste… one bite and that was enough . So pricey for such little food that lacked quality in my opinion . Tapas in Spain offer more food for a fraction of the price. Our bill was $300 and we left hungry and not feeling like we’d have a single Spanish dish. Again some dishes were ok, but please don’t call it a...

Myself and two friends had a 5pm reservation on a Thursday night, we arrived at 4:55pm, seated promptly with our waitress coming by quickly for drinks and to explain the menu. We initially were told we could order the tapas “a la carte” because the kitchen wasn’t ready for full service, and then 15min later we were told they stopped a la carte as the tapas table service would be starting soon. Our waitress allowed us to order the olive pate and caprese salad still while we waited. A total of 90min had gone by from arrival and the tapas table service still had not come by our table - it did however make rounds on two tables right by the kitchen door (tables that had seated well after us). At 6:30pm we flagged our waitress down and paid for drinks and left. She apologized for the disorganization, and even said to us “I hope you come back, maybe don’t come back for awhile until we’ve figured this out.”

Don’t plan on going to this restaurant unless you have 4+ hours for a...
