Blaze Pizza — Restaurant in Tallahassee

What a joke. Finally gave in and decided to use my free pizza coupon from my last experience. And now, as I wait in the curbside spot typing this, it's been 20 minutes since I called in, while sitting here, to ask about my pizza. I still don't have my pizza. I regret coming back for a free pizza. Why did I do this to myself? What a joke.

Order ready time was 8:18 for curbside. I had to call back in at 8:55 to ask if they forgot about me. They ran out my pizza which was cold. I went back in, and the runner and manager were joking about how I called back in and asked if they forgot about me. I said, "Yeah, that's me" and told the Manager to touch my cold pizza, which he did. I was given a free pizza card (Thank you) and my pizza was to be re-fired. I opted not to wait after already sitting in my car for 40+ minutes and just left. I was also immediately asked by the runner when I went in with my cold pizza if they forgot the drizzle topping, which they did. One friendly employee did let me know it would be a bit about half way through my wait, so I sat there and watched people walk in, order, wait in line, and then leave with food while my Pizza sat there getting cold....

I don't know how this place got such rave reviews! With all of them after long debating we finally decided to give this place a shot, well big mistake on my part. Don't be fooled by how delicious everything looks because that's just about where it stops. The pizza was very mediocre, undercooked and very generic, I mean you get what you pay for I guess right? Unlimited toppings? Yes, but you can taste how they make that possible as well. You can taste the preservatives and overall unfresh flavor in everything, I got a salad with my pizza and the flavor was overwhelmingly prevelant,making me and my family naseaus. The olives are generic,dull grey and chemically just as the ones at a subway but worse, garlic and tomatos were on the verge of rancid, about the only good thing with any flavor was the cheeses mixed in to mask it all up! Know I'm not saying it was the worst of the worst, but it definitely wasn't good and probably won't ever come back any time soon. Maybe some may have other opinions, but for us one time was enough. I had originally planned on giving a one star, but decided on two because of staff being so kind and helpful. About the only real good thing...

BLAZE!! This is one of the better pizza joints in Tallahassee - and while it is a chain (we discovered at Disney Springs) - it has a vibe that doesn't make it feel that way. Staff are great!! We went for the PI day pizza $3.14 for an 11" with any toppings you want. So I went a little overboard with artichokes, olives, pineapple, balsamic and fresh mozzarella and it was good. Opted for a salad before and their veggies are always fresh. I ate the salad and only one and half slices and they brought me a box to take the rest home. Even with the one per person pizza special they were having yesterday it wasn't bad - about a 40 minute wait (line went through the restaurant out the door and around the side). They were well staffed for this special as they usually are. Staff was all very friendly and accommodating - no bad attitudes. They even had someone at the door telling people to sign up for their app while they were in line so they could get free dessert. Very smart promotional opportunity! LOVE ME SOME BLAZE!!! ...
