I was driving to my hometown of Pensacola from my current town of Orlando, and I decided to meet up with a friend of mine in Tally. This friend of mine recommended Lucky Goat Coffee for a hangout place, and I was not disappointed. This place had a lot of seating, inside and out. There was a cozy atmosphere afoot that just made you wanna bring in a good book and sit and stay all day long. But alas, I had to get back on the road before too long, so I checked out the menu to see what they had. They have all the usual suspects. I asked what was good and cold and sweet and pumpkiny, and they recommended their special of the day, their version of a pumpkin spice latte. They cater to all drink preferences, including my need for almond milk. It was delicious. They definitely got the message that I wanted sweet and espresso-y. Very flavorful. I had no complaints. But they also have good black coffee, if you're into that kind of thing. I'm not, but it wasn't spit-worthy swill you find in grocery stores. Overall, I enjoyed this place, I love local chains, and I wish it all the best. I will probably be back the next time I stop by to visit my friend.

After just one sip, you’ll realize what you’ve been missing all your life. This is *authentic* espresso made the correct way. I will never return to a certain chain ever again after visiting Lucky Goat. Seriously, you don’t realize how good coffee can be until you visit. I ordered my usual and my boyfriend did as well. His was a peppermint mocha and mine was a double espresso with raw sugar and steamed cream. Same thing we get at the big chain yet infinitely better here. You get so many complex flavor notes. The milk is steamed to velvety micro-foam perfection. Sheer heaven. (I know it may not look like a big drink and that’s because it’s not but my fellow espresso lovers will understand 😊)

The cold brew coffee is excellent. However, despite many attempts with many different staff members at multiple locations, I have found that there is not adjective that can convey that I only want a little cream. I've tried "just a little", "a splash", and today I tried "a drop", see results in the photo. Just put out creamers and let us do it ourselves. I don't want to be rude and have to argue with the cashier about the meaning of a splash of cream. Either that or train staff to err on the side of caution. You can always add more cream but you can take it out. Edit: revised from 3 to 4 based on owner's response

This place is small, so the smell of coffee is super concentrated. There's not much place to sit, especially if it's busy, which it seems to be most of the time. This isn't one of those homey coffee shops that you can study at headphoneless, this is an establishment with decent coffee and cool coffee related services. If you know Tallahassee, you know Lucky Goat basically dominates the market here for coffee. It's quite impressive, actually. I love how this shines in their reasonably priced, all-rounder coffee and that you can recycle your coffee bags! More companies need to do that. As for the coffee, like I said, it's pretty decent. I had a single origin that they were offerring at the time that was advertised as being full bodied with a lingering sweetness or something. It hit the mark, but a bit underwhelmingly so. I prefer my own pour-overs with the coffee I get from Trade, but man is Lucky Goat priced beautifully, I may even switch to getting their coffee, It's like half the price of any roaster from Trade. I have to try more before making a full judgement and switch, but it was definitely good enough...

We stopped in for iced lattes and when I say it was very disappointing, there was no coffee flavor to them you could taste none of the vanilla, hazelnut or pumpkin spice flavors that were requested for the lattes. I requested they make them over and the young man had the audacity to ask if we ordered lattes before as if we didn’t know what a latte should taste like. But one thing about it and 2 things for sure I know what coffee should taste like. If I wanted a cup of water I prefer Smart water not brown. We were actually heading back home to FL from AL where we went to the same coffee shop for 4 days in a row because of the awesome customer service as well as AMAZING coffee which by the way were LATTES!!! So if your ever in or passing by Daphne AL PLEASSEEE stop by SUMMER MOON the absolute BEST coffee in that area. Lucky Goat should take note because it was a HARD No for me even after they remade the lattes. Will never...
