I do a lot of reviews for Google and here's my review of Village Pizza and this is our first time here we sat down and the sever came over after 3 minutes after we sat down which was nice and she was a very nice server I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs two problems with it the Meatballs are way too soft and not packed tight when made with very little flavor. They need a lot of help now comes the spaghetti sauce that definitely was not homemade I grew up in New York it's what they call canned spaghetti sauce you don't have to do nothing but heat it up and serve and really it's not that great for that price they're charging you I'd rather have homemade sauce and it was kind of pricey for the spaghetti and meatballs almost $25 way overpriced my wife ordered that Chicken special dinner she said it was okay nothing to go home write about and that was a little over price now the restaurant look pretty clean the bathrooms are OK and it's up to you if you want to eat here? All lam going to giving you it l and my wife will not be going back there it didn't meet my specifications for quality food And being very over price look at the menu price and then look at your receipt it's not the same as the menu so beware on...

Came here for lunch on 9.24.2023 The place is very cute. The positives end there, however. The service was strange. The cashiers were friendly, and the person I presume was the host also seemed friendly. However, they sort of gestured us to sit anywhere but they didn't say anything the entire time (perhaps they were nervous? They seemed like it).

Anyhow, after sitting down, I saw at least two other tables arrive after me and get serviced (drinks and get appetizers) before I could even get my beverage. My server was also a bit odd, and I had to repeat my order four times. I don't think I speak that quietly, but at this point I'm thinking "it's whatever, just an odd day".

Once I finally received my food, I was very disappointed by the oily mess that was on my plate. I understand that cooked cheese can let out some oil, sure. But the amount that was pouring out of my stromboli was just disgusting. There were pools of it all over my plate. The sauce I received had the texture of water.

Overall, the atmosphere is great. It felt like a welcoming place. The service and food, however, need a huge overhaul because that was one of the most disappointing dining experiences...

UPDATE: Don't know what's going on with this place. Not what it used to be.

Pizza crust has become soft and doughey. Have to ask for it to be baked extra if you like a firm crust.

Also, went for lunch and the cashier doubling as waitress claimed I couldn't order the meatball sub and side salad off the lunch menu because it was Thursday instead of Monday. The menu DOES NOT specify that certain lunch specials are only available on certain days, and it was never this way before. So they lost a sale. I just had a slice of my hubby's pizza to hold me over and ate at Wawa.

Why would a restaurant choose to alienate customers?

PRIOR:

Best pizza in Tallahassee. Other main courses are also good. Ceasar and Antipasto salads could use a more generous application of ingredients, but the house dressing helps.

Typical Italian restaurant feel, including a few mafioso pictures I could do without. Plenty of booths as well as tables. Always clean.

Servers are mostly experienced and excellent, and interesting...

Would be zero stars if possible. Been loyal customers since the 90s and never going to go back ever again. Almost swallowed a piece of metal in my pizza today and brought it back to the restaurant they didn't care. They knew where the metal came from so they know they have faulty equipment and are still using it. Wouldn't give my dad his money back just replaced the pizzas which none of us feel safe eating now. And on top of the metal our pizza order wasn't even correct it was just supposed to be cheese and basil but it was sausage pepperoni and broccoli oh and METAL.
