I see all of these great reviews so maybe it's me. Maybe I have the weird taste buds. Ice cream is my all time favorite dessert! Like I could eat it when it s 20 degrees outside....but I could easily bypass Bruster's and get some from the grocery store. I'm not certain what it is that's never "wow'd me." The best way I can describe my feelings is that nothing stands out from it. It is "good"....well "yes", but store bought ice cream is "good"....or even "great." If I'm going to pay $4-$7 for ice cream at an ice cream shop, I except to have some really good, like I gotta have it ice cream. Bruster's, to me, is along the lines of Baskin-Robbins or Marble Slab. I love ice cream to be creamy and bursting with flavor. I also appreciate a creative menu and I just didn't get that with Brusters's. They even charged me $1 extra for a waffle bowl. Let me name a few places that: (Store bought) Blue Bell, Talenti, Halo top, So Delicious Cashew Milk flavors.... (Ice cream shops) Coldstone, Rita's, Ye Old Fashion, Shake Shack, Pinkberry and Nuberri (yes I know its yogurt). To be honest, if some put a scoop of strawberry from Brusters and a scoop of strawberry from...lets say Edy's or Breyers, I probably wouldn't know the different...even though I would say all three are "good."
On another note, the store was clean and the cashier was friendly. She was the only person working there and there was a line of about 7 customers but she worked as quickly as she could and apologized for the wait. There is limited seating; but both indoor and outdoor available and there is...
Read moreI love ice cream and try different creameries all the time. I was in the area and found this spot, not much info on the menu regarding the menu options. I asked a few questions, gentlemen answered no problem and in detail to what the turtle sundae was/included and such. I ordered the banana split and it was ok, it came with 3 scoops I choose my own flavors and did extra strawberries instead of the pineapple, chocolate drizzle, whip cream and cherry and of course the banana. The chocolate drizzle turned me off, I was definitely expecting hot fudge and the strawberries were not sweet. The gentleman did not wear any gloves to cut the banana and it was chopped and put on top under the whip. I would recommend, and will return however will not get the banana...
Read moreWe walked in thinking it was open since the for was unlocked. Eli did NOT greeted my husband and I. Instead he yelled 🗣️ “WE ARE NOT OPEN” and he turned around and continued talking to his coworker and I didn’t get her name. She immediately apologized for how rude and disrespectful he was to us. Eli is very very rude and not have any good customer service nor good communication skills. This is the kind of service we have every time we come here and this will be our last time going to this location. Please replace him if possible because if not, Bruster is definitely losing customers each and everyday because of this rude and disrespectful behavior we get from Eli. Ice cream was...
