Lovetts Burgers Chicken & Fries — Restaurant in Tallahassee

Was in Gov Square mall yesterday with my fiancé and mother doing some shopping. Decided to try out Lovetts for the first time since they had just opened up not to long ago in the food court. Ordered a burger and fries.. I don’t know what exactly was going on yesterday but it took over 35 minutes to get my burger and fries…people before me got food and after me got food but I still had to wait. They had one very nice young lady running the register and then three or four gentlemen making the food. I figured it might take a moment to get the food since they were still fresh and getting their flow down but after 30 minutes waiting that’s a bit ridiculous… the food was pretty good when I got it but if they’re wait times stay like that or they get orders lost or wrong which it seemed to have happened as well…they may not last… I will not be returning...

This was my first time getting food from this place. The only reason why I came because I was told it was black owned. I explained to the older lady behind the counter it was my first time and she looked at me like she didn't care. At this point I was about to leave but I was ordering for other people. When asking her about the menu they were out of the things I wanted. When I asked her about what's similar she gave me a attitude as if she didn't want to help. I ordered my food at 2:25 and it was ready at 3:02.

Wasted 40 minutes here to leave empty handed. I work in the mall so I went on my hour break to get fries. Literally waited the whole time for them to tell me the order wasn’t put in, I got no apology from any of the staff. I will not be recommending this place to any of my coworkers or customers. I wish I could rate less than one star. Oh and they don’t offer a mall employee discount which a lot of the mall stores/restaurants do. They need to focus on customer service versus hanging out...
