Blown away! Best BBQ I’ve had in Tallahassee and I’ve lived here for 20 years. Surprised to see a BBQ spot in the mall I thought I’d roll the dice and give them a try. A to the Men, I’m glad I did. I had the pulled pork sandwich with Carolina sauce. It comes with sides of pickle, sauce, and slaw to top your sandwich with. The sandwich is wrapped in paper so you can attempt to keep the big rig together and I’m not kidding when I say it’s big! You more than get your money’s worth!

I’m not a fan of BBQ meat that relies on sauce alone to get its flavor. No worries here as the pork packs enough of a punch to let you know the peppery goodness is there without setting your mouth on fire.

I started with being very indecisive as I just was not sure what or where I wanted to eat. The staff were very patient and pointed out all the areas I could find a menu to figure it out. Once I decided, they were quick to take my order and get it started. I'm hard of hearing so I wasn't sure where I should wait so I could hear when it was ready but the staff let me know my order would take a while so I could sit and read my book while I waited. I was the only customer there but I'm patient and to me this just meant they were putting love into my Salmon burger and boy did they!!!! It was so good! It was an actual smoked salmon fillet and not a dry ground burger like most people serve. It wasn't messy at all and they even wrapped it so it was easy to eat. Completely worth the money! First let me say how much we appreciate Tamra Tatum at Southern Smoke of Tallahassee. Hands down professional 10 on all cylinders. We were in a bind after the hurricane and needed a Caterer for our event 10 days away. Tamra was the calm in the storm. She worked to get our quote within 24 hours, meeting our timeline and budget.

On the morning of the event Tamra accommodated our guests with special dietary restrictions. Baby that salmon was on POINT!!! All of the food was amazing from the Smoked Chicken to Mac & Cheese, Fried Okra the greens all phenomenal.
