New Review 5/31/24 I must have jinxed myself by leaving a good review. I went through drive-thru today during the 50% Friday drink deal. I got the same drink that I’ve been getting for weeks. Instead of getting a smooth cold brew topped with sweet cream and crushed nuts, I got what tasted like day old drip coffee mixed with milk and thick syrup. I was already halfway down Thomasville and you can’t make any convenient u-turns. I decided that I would just make coffee at home and contact corporate for a refund. The chat is obnoxious. The first time I got a rep that clearly didn’t speak English and took so long, 5+minutes, to respond that I lost service while driving and the chat got disconnected. I tried to email them but the time setting doesn’t work on their form so you cannot submit it 🙄 then I tried to chat again and an agent never joined and then said it ended the chat due to inactivity. I finally decided to call since I hadn’t tried that. It said my wait time was greater than 5 minutes and that they could call me back. I’m still waiting. What a pain in the neck for a coffee that I couldn’t drink and ended up throwing away.
Old review: They get my drink right nearly every time. I’ve only had things made incorrectly twice in four years! They also do a great job of making GOOD drinks consistently. They make beautiful coffees even in drive-thru. I love that they appreciate their craft. They are BUSY though! Whether it’s drive-thru or in-store, things are always hectic. There’s always a decent wait during peak times. They also run out of soy milk often. There’s also a strange inconsistency with customer service. It’s always good but you never know if they’re going to pop up on the screen in drive-thru, ask your name, or if you can just fly through. I feel like there’s a decent turn-over in people that work there as well. Would be nice to be able to see the same person when you go everyday. Maybe they need to be incentivized or treated better? Read moreI visited this Starbucks on a Sunday at 5:45.pm There was no line, and not many customers in store. I ordered a tall skinny latte. I stood at the counter thinking it would be quick, after 20 minutes I started paying attention to other customers recieving their order before me. I finally spoke up, the barista asked if I wanted whip cream, i said no. When she gave me my coffee she said sorry for your wait, in a very uncaring attitude.The coffee wasn't very hot so I opened the lid and she had put whip cream in it. I told the manager and he fixed me a new latte and said they were very busy. I told him it was lack of customer service and they were not paying attention to their customers. During the time I was waiting the manager was not initially there but came in near the end of my wait with trash bags he had purchased.The place was unkempt, very disorganized, baristas talking to each other about personal life with a negative flair. All the time with very little if any acknowledgment to their customers.i witnessed two other customers getting their order wrong as well and no apology as if this is acceptable here.i might add they had 5 employees working behind the counter. My visit to this Starbucks location on a Saturday morning for breakfast was highly disappointing. Despite placing a mobile order to ensure efficiency, my drink was ready, but the food items were not, resulting in an additional 12-minute wait. The sight of 4 staff members standing around and laughing, while only 2 were dedicated to the drive-thru, added to the frustration.
In a rush to get to work, I decided to cancel my order after waiting for an extended period. However, even the cancellation process was inefficient, with an additional 7-minute wait in line. To my surprise, when I finally reached the register to cancel, my cold food was sitting on the counter next to the staff who had been leisurely laughing.
This experience falls below the expected Starbucks standards, and I have decided not to visit this location again. The lack of efficiency, customer service, and adherence to Starbucks' reputation is concerning. I hope this feedback contributes to improvements at this branch for the benefit of...
