Honestly I have no words to describe my experience with Centre Club — IT WAS THAT GOOD! You should definitely have your wedding here! I had my big fat Indian fusion wedding reception here. If I could’ve done my ceremony here (we got married in the church — Christ the King Catholic Church) I would have. I had three “perfect vendors” that didn’t miss a beat, and Centre Club was one of them. This venue is seriously a hidden gem and honestly you don’t even need a planner or anything if you do your ceremony and reception here!! Sarah and Elizabeth take care of it all! I only had to bring a DJ, florist, and photo/video team. The pricing includes everything! PLEASE don’t skimp on florals (and draping from Ann Marie) because it truly transforms the ballroom. I used Jean King’s Monarch Events for florals.
Elizabeth was great to work with, and so was her whole team. Sarah was great, and the chef’s food was great!! We added a third meal, we created a cauliflower steak with mushroom risotto and about 1/3 of the guests ordered it. The guests loved it! The coconut grouper curry is great for the south Asian palate, and our chicken dish was a chicken Marsala. Instead of onboarding an Indian vendor for apps, we had Centre Club order samosas instead as a third appetizer for cocktail hour. The club is beautiful, you really don’t need any additional decor for cocktail hour. Ann Marie is their decor lady she did an amazing job tying the sashes to the side, napkin roses, and draping — please get the draping!!! She’s not the most responsive via email, but that’s why Elizabeth always has her eyes on everything 😂 and also just double confirm all the colors. I didn’t have a way to get my tikka onto my head minutes before our entrance and our coordinator ran to get Bobby pins and Elizabeth wrangled it onto my head.
We paid exactly what was on the invoices! No surprises. I didn’t get to try the lamb meatballs or eat enough on the wedding day so that is my personal regret. They have two rooms available to the side — we used one for changing and the other room for vendors to have breaks and meals. The setup really is perfect for weddings! We did our hotel room block with the Westshore Grand. Over 80% of our guests had to fly in and they raved about our wedding. We made the logistics easy for them. Our wedding is still making a buzz!! I also noticed on the reviews, there was a review made after our wedding (5/10/25) and the flowers looked familiar — I am so happy to see some of the centerpieces and flowers were repurposed to beautify another honoring the passing of a lady named Rosemary on Mother’s Day! My grooms late grandmothers names were Rose & Mary — this makes it so special. We did our best to give away as much as possible, but ended up leaving the grand pieces with the Westshore Grand to give away to moms on Mother’s Day, but I know some were left behind at Centre Club. Most of our guests had to fly back next day so they couldn’t take them. I wanted my flowers to be enjoyed by as many people as possible, thank you for making that happen!! 🥹
They also gave us a really nice bottle of champagne which we popped open on our honeymoon, we love you guys so much. Thank you for making our day so special and...
Read moreExtremely Disappointed with Centre Club Tampa
I joined Centre Club Tampa in February with the hope of using the space to work on my book and business. Unfortunately, due to the commute from St. Pete and only visiting the club a couple of times a month, I decided to cancel in May. I gave the required 30-day notice via email, and was told there was no issue.
To my surprise, at the end of June, I was charged a $500 fee labeled vaguely as “club dues.” No explanation was given upfront. When I inquired, I was told it was an early cancellation fee for not completing a 1-year term - something that was never mentioned in the membership portal or bylaws, which I reviewed thoroughly prior to cancelling. It wasn’t until I pushed for more clarity that I was sent a copy of the application where this fee was buried - an email I never saw because it landed in my spam folder, and I never received a signed or completed version of that application at the time of joining.
I disputed the charge with my credit card company - and won. Twice. Yet the club still attempted to auto-draft the fee again without my consent, which resulted in me having to block them through my credit card company. Despite all this, I was contacted again weeks later demanding payment. At no point during this frustrating back-and-forth did anyone from the Centre Club pick up the phone to call me directly - it was all impersonal emails. That lack of care says everything.
In the end, I paid the fee just to be done with it. But for someone who used the facility maybe 5 times, the level of inflexibility and lack of communication was disappointing to say the least. It’s clear that Centre Club prioritizes money over people, and that’s not the kind of community-focused environment I thought I...
Read moreI was scheduled to attend the Dinner in the Dark event at the Center Club on August 25th. My spouse and I were super excited and this would have been my second time attending their event. Unfortunately, I tested positive for COVID just before the event. Wanting to be responsible, I called in advance to notify the restaurant and asked if I could reschedule. I made it clear that I was not asking for a refund — I simply did not want to put other guests or staff at risk.
I first spoke to someone at Fever, who told me no refunds or reschedules — essentially suggesting I either show up sick or forfeit my ticket. I then spoke with Jason Jones, the restaurant manager, who seemed understanding and said he would assist me, insist that someone at FEVER assist me or host me at a later date. Since then, I’ve followed up with FEVER and Jason with NO response.
I could have easily kept my diagnosis to myself and attended — potentially infecting others. But I chose to be honest and cautious. The fact that they’re unwilling to work with me at all is deeply disappointing. That is not customer service, especially from a venue that promotes itself as refined and...
