Jimmy's Tacos — Restaurant in Tampa

Jimmy's Tacos is absolutely terrible- the service, that is. I ordered a burrito, with sour cream & guacamole, and chicken. There was no sour cream, or guacamole, at all, and the chicken was sparse and was barely any in the burrito. Naturally, I called Jimmy's Tacos to tell them about their mistake, and the young girl who answered the phone could not have been more unprofessional. I told her I still have more than half of the Burrito, and that I could see there was no sour cream and guacamole, as ordered, and barely any chicken.

The young girl on the phone could be clearly heard saying that what I was saying was "stupid & ridiculous", to which I replied that I could hear her and that no it was not stupid of me to bring attention to the mistake, and that this should be corrected. A replacement burrito was offered. I picked up the replacement burrito 2 days later (they were closed the next consecutive 2 days), and lo' & behold- again there was no sour cream & guacamole, and again barely any chicken! On the replacement Burrito, at that!

I've heard some good things about Jimmy's Tacos, and also some bad things. I haven't tried their entire menu, but at this point I'm hesitant to even give it a shot, especially if my order was messed up the first time and the replacement burrito (which was supposed to be the restaurant showing the customer they were sorry, and absolutely could deliver on their menu as expected) was absolutely no different than the first botched burrito!

I've worked, extensively, in the food service industry. Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, The Avenue DTSP, Hofbrahaus, Chipotle, Honey Baked Ham, Columbia Restaurant group, Oggi Italian, D' Mexican St.Pete and more! I know that not all orders are made perfectly, mistakes happen- but what should NOT happen is when a customer's calls about a mistake, only to hear rude comments about calling, and then only to receive the same burrito with the same mistakes- on the replacement order! That is extremely unprofessional, and absolutely does not instill any trust or faith in the restaurant's ability to deliver on it's menu....

I found this place by accident we were looking for a Cuban restaurant, but ended up at Jimmy’s tacos. Ordered the Quesabirria tacos, oh my I don’t live in Tampa therefore I hardly ever come to Jimmy’s Tacos but when I’m in Tampa I make it a point to always stop at Jimmy’s Tacos I Stop the Jimmy’s Tacos today Friday, December 22 I order the quesabirria taco special which has three quesabirria tacos with the broth and I got a quesadilla, when I open my food I see there’s nasty tacos they had no color it was just like a fried tortilla with beef inside, I decided to take a bite and taste it, the tacos have no flavor the broth has no flavor they don’t look or taste anything like the real quesabirria tacos I called the manager Jonathan, he was very rude and unprofessional stated that he will try to speak to the owner, Jonathan the manager did not offer any type of resolution that’s OK because I will never stop at Jimmy’s tacos ever again and I hope nobody else falls for their lies when they say they have a special on this type of tacos. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 as soon as I saw pictures of the Quesabirria tacos, they come with this consome broth for you to dip your tacos in, I’m From Mexico and let me tell you I have never tasted anything more authentic than Jimmy’s tacos . My recent visit to Jimmy Tacos left me thoroughly satisfied with their delicious offerings and vibrant atmosphere. We indulged in the Jimmy's Feast, which consisted of three mouthwatering quesobirria tacos, a small squesobirra quesadilla, and a refreshing drink. The flavors were bold and satisfying, with each bite packed full of deliciousness.

We also tried the Birra Eggrolls, which were a unique twist on a classic dish. The combination of birria and eggroll wrapping created a delightful fusion of flavors and textures that left us wanting more.

To round out our meal, we enjoyed three steak tacos, each one bursting with juicy steak and fresh toppings.

While the food was quite yummy, I must admit that the leftovers didn't quite measure up to the fresh experience at the restaurant. It could be that I didn't reheat them correctly, but regardless, I would highly recommend enjoying your meal at the restaurant for the best experience.

Jimmy Tacos offers a great and simple food selection, accompanied by an impressive cocktail and non-alcoholic drink selection. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with great music adding to the overall ambiance. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the positive dining experience.
