This was my first time here and I wanted my food to go. Walking up to the counter I asked the girl if I could do a to go order, she asked if it was a sandwich or a plate, I told her both, so she took my order for a Cuban then pointed me towards the line telling me I didn't need the tray, that they would just put it into a to go container. They had six choices for lunch and it comes with two sides. It was definitely a hard choice, but I chose the pork. I also got red beans with rice and green beans. After I had made my choice I saw the black beans. I was so tempted to buy another meal just so I could have black beans and rice, but I restrained. They had various drink options from both a fountain and a cold cooler. Then I was at the cashier. You can pay with cash or credit card. For both the sandwich and the meal it came to around 14.00. That's pretty reasonable. The sandwich was around 6 dollars and the meal was 6.75 plus tax. I don't live in Tampa so the smells we're driving me crazy on the way home. Read moreLa Bamba is hands down one of the best Cuban restaurants I’ve ever been to! From the moment you step inside, you feel like you’ve traveled back in time, thanks to its nostalgic and charming ambiance. It’s an experience that’s as much about the vibe as it is about the food.
Speaking of the food, everything on the menu is absolutely delicious. The Cuban sandwiches are out of this world—perfectly toasted with just the right balance of flavors. And don’t leave without trying the flan; it’s smooth, creamy, and the perfect sweet ending to your meal.
The staff and the owner are exceptional. They are incredibly attentive, making sure you’re comfortable and happy with every aspect of your visit. Their hospitality truly sets this place apart.
Best of all, the prices are very budget-friendly, making La Bamba a spot you’ll want to visit again and again. Whether you’re there for a quick bite or a long meal, you’ll never be disappointed....
Read moreI get my morning café con leche here sometimes when I come from a different direction to work and I don't feel like waiting in the Starbucks down the street long morning rush line. So basically out of necessity. The woman who works the front has an attitude every time I come in. She doesn't speak on purpose and if she does, it's with an attitude. So mind you, that's my first interaction with the outside world for the day and so it starts my day off on a low vibration. Haven't tried them other times of the day so can't opine to anything but their morning service. Take it for what it's worth. Their breakfast sandwiches are average, Cubans are cool, they are the ones with pulled pork added instead of all deli meat, so if you like that version then there you go. Fix the attitude and understand you are starting peoples day off, try and start it with a smile, it...
