I called before I came stating that I had a small dog with me and they said I had to sit outside, which was no problem! Iâm seated at the downstairs patio by the hostess named Jamie. That was at 5:40pm. Several people including the waitress and the people that delivered my food, came to my table. They sat me by the outside door near a table full of kids who found it necessary to go in and out the door over 100 times ( I counted). My dog was shaking from the constant slamming of the gate, so I sat him up on the chair. At 6:50pm, well over an hour later, a group of white and/or hispanic people came in. Mind you, I am a lone African American woman sat at a 4 top with my 12 lb pup. They asked for a chair and took it. They are also sat at a 4 top. About 6-8 of them proceeded to sit at a 4 top table and wanted extra chairs. When asked, I said I was using them. I didnât ask to be sat at a 4 top, so yes I was using them. They must have complained because they are entitled millennials. This same hostess comes up to me over an hour later asking for a chair. Without giving me a chance to explain that it was because of these kids slamming the gate and my dog shaking why I put him on the chair, she proceeds to say she is calling a manager. I didnât complain, be irritate, walk out on my bill, nothing. But black folks canât just refuse to be disrespected and it be okay, some Karen needs to call a manager. Despite all that, my waitress Cameron, despite having the funkiest face when she walked up and took my order, was very nice! Also, I spoke with Nate and expressed my concerns and he was overwhelmingly nice and apologized about what happened. When all was well, the manager Daniel came out with an unnecessary attitude and a piece of paper about dogs, mind you NOTHING WAS SAID THE WHOLE HOUR AND A HALF I WAS THERE! This is a racist establishment and Daniel was overwhelmingly rude simply because I would not cater to a table of white people! Daniel is a poor example of your leadership team. He was childish, immature and needs to be sent back to training school to learn that body language, tone and attitude can diffuse any situation and being immature, rolling your eyes and talking over guests just escalates things...
Read moreIf you're coming here because of the airport or the hospital and clinics nearby, treat yourself. We stayed in a hotel next to it so I could enjoy my beers and the kids wanted some good meat after a so-so lunch on the road. Chloe was our waitress, she has so much charisma and the kids were so comfortable with her. They were very talkative and she gave them all the attention they need. Awesome work. Now, let's get down to business. Let's begin with the beer, since I'm the one writing and that is in the name. I'm very picky because I lived in Germany on a city borderline with Belgium and the Netherlands. All I need to know about beer I learned with them by drinking more than 300 different beers during my time there. I created a taste for Wheat Beer and if you like it, forget anything else and go for the draft Schneider Weisse Original, it just brought back memories. Food wise, the steak was perfect, the buttery taste and yig you'd like, a garlic butter on the side to make it your own way. The sweet potato fries were "purrfect" just change for it if you like it. My daughter asked for the Mac And Cheese and she didn't like it but for my son, as he said "it changed his concept of Mac and Cheese" for ever and to be honest, for me too. The crust on the top, the creamy inside and the flavor... Full of flavor, not that blend MnC from school. My wife had some tacos that were good but not to the level we had before but good enough that you can order and enjoy. For the desert we had the donuts and if you do like in the picture, they get to another level. When you dip cinnamon and sugar in Nutella, the flavors do get along, but if you slice it and fill it, welcome to heaven. Tomorrow is Monday and they have both, Burger day and happy hour. I don't have to drive and we want to taste other foods. Let's see what the kitchen can...
Read moreI was excited to come here based on the number of beers that they had both on tap and in bottles. I'm in from out of town staying in one of the hotels nearby, and walking here was super easy. I figured the beers looked a little on the pricy side since a pint of Coors Light was $6.50, and most of the other beers were $8+ per pint. On a Monday night, it was very packed, but I was able to find a spot at the bar. After looking over the menu, and waiting almost 10 minutes, a bartender asked if I had put in a drink order in, which I had not. The beer I wanted apparently was out of stock, and was recommended another that I got. As I was drinking my beer, it was another at least 20 minutes until another bartender finally asked if I wanted to order food. I got just a simple cheese burger and tots. The burger came out pretty bloody, and I would say of mediocre quality. When I got the bill, I was a bit surprised that the burger was only about $8-9, but they had the wrong beer on the bill. I asked the bartender that I thought I was getting a different beer that was $8 for the snifter glass, but the one on the bill was $12. He did change it right away. I feel that overall, the experience was a bit under par, and I will not be coming here again. Even sitting at the bar, it was very frustrating to see a bunch of bartenders running around, but not helping out the patrons right in front of them. Many around me also were not being helped as well. The place is also just loud. Very hard to have a conversation, no noise dampening, you have to yell just to get your order in to the bartender right in...
