Barra Vino is a magical place, not to be missed, whether you live in Taos or are here visiting. The moment you walk in the door you experience the warmth, the beauty, the good cheer and the good vibes of the space, only to be greeted by the owners themselves, who provide the kindest, most attentive, welcoming service you could find anywhere. You immediately feel as if you are among friends, in a place that feels like home.
There is always good live music to take in, as you sample from an excellent and varied list of wines by the glass, or beer, or artfully conceived frozen fruit drinks (frozées) and wait to be served tasty, creative, lovingly prepared small plates.
There's also a delightful patio out back that looks onto Ledoux Street, Taos's own version of Canyon Road, home to artists for over 100 years, just one block or so from the Taos Plaza.
My wife and I are regulars, and count Barra Vino as a home away from home, usually meeting up there with friends from Taos or with friends visiting from out-of-town. Consistently wonderful, and we come here a lot.

The food is to die for and made with so much intention, which should be a given but unfortunately isn't. That is not the case at Barra Vino. Every dish feels thought out and cared for, with every element coming together with the sole intention of satisfying the customer. Not to mention the wide variety of distinguished and elegant wines that are sure to give you whatever buzz you're looking for.
