The Social Club — Restaurant in Taos

My daughter and I ordered two drinks at $12.00 each. Our tab for the two drinks was $31.64. I asked why our bill was so much, the server said, “uh there’s tax like 9%”. The other bartender said there is a credit card fee. I asked if they could void it. My original server said, “no”. The other said he would try. Finally got the new bill, it was only a dollar if that cheaper. Should have asked for an itemized bill, my fault. But still, little over thirty dollars for only two drinks that were $12 each. This absolute GEM is hidden just behind Taos plaza on Camino de la placita! If you haven't been you're missing out!!! Craft distilled liquors great atmosphere, community events, and the best damn old fashioned I ever had in my life!!!! Thanks to Gayle my bartender and Otto the owner for the legendary service I can't wait to call this my main watering hole and musical experience venue. I was reading reviews and was a little shocked at the negatives. This place is BRAND NEW and they are evolving.... hot food is coming and they are working on a local beer menu for their taps. Training of staff is on-going and I found the lighting, music and "overall vibe" to be in keeping with what I'd expect of a social club.
