Fat and Happys — Restaurant in Tarpon Springs

One of my absolute favorite things to do when exploring a new to me city is to check out the local food spots, and I'm not talking your everyday chain places, I'm talking the spots where the owner is behind the counter and creating new concoctions themselves. We found that yesterday in Tarpon Springs at @fatandhappys_tarponsprings, while in town for the Book Festival. This spot is known for their famous Fat and Sexy Grilled Cheese. The Grilled Cheese is a perfect option for the Vegetarians! While Fat and Happy's also serves up some delicious pretzels and pizza pie, I'd highly recommend the unique Pizza Cannoli. Yeah, you heard me right. A Pizza Cannoli. Trust me on this one. It also comes with a dipping sauce that was crafted by the owner himself. You didn't hear it from me, but apparently, people buy the sauce by the tub because it's that irresistible. Hello the owner of this business seems to be very nice but I have a couple problems with the business he does not give a you a menu to order from so you cannot see the pricing. He states that he has the best grilled cheese you'll ever eat but to me it's not worth $20 for a grilled cheese then he has a Great Cookie but for one cookie it's probably $6 and water is probably about three he doesn't give you a menu nor does he give you a breakdown on your receipt of what you ordered and paid for I find this to be a problem. Just be aware because if I knew this I would not have ordered the grilled cheese I would never pay that much for a grilled cheese but the problem is I had already ate it....

I really don't like leaving these types of reviews but I have to warn everyone looking to go here. We got a pizza, 2 water bottles and 1 cookie. Total was $42!!! The pizza was no better than elementary school pizza, very greasy, clearly cheap ingredients. The cookie was amazing, but it's a chocolate chip cookie, so can't go wrong there.
