Wendy's — Restaurant in Tarpon Springs

This is not the greatest Wendy's ever. Where do I start? Well, the restaurant wasn't clean, which is a huge turn off. The area behind the counter was really gross. There was a ton of food all over the floor and the employees were just walking on it like 'whatever'. It's not like they were super busy or anything, just nobody wanted to be bothered to: 1 Keep fries and nuggets off the floor ( they continued dropping fries on the floor as we watched), or 2 clean it up. Like I said, it was gross and did not lend confidence to other less visible aspects of things. The workers were polite and friendly, but bantered between themselves about personal things that I just didn't want to hear. It inadvertently made me feel like I was unimportant, or that I was just something to get out of their way so they could get back to their gossiping. One of them was especially slovenly and unprofessional looking. I know it's just a fast food restaurant, but this guy just looked like a slob, there's no nice way of saying it. The manager was probably the piece de resistance. He was seated in the customer area, watching sports news on the tv. He had a pile of papers all around him so maybe his excuse was some business function, but he was definately watching tv. While I was talking to another customer about something he interjected into our conversation and then turned it toward politics (ughh!) and spewed a bunch of ignorant ideological nonsense. Listen, I am not here to get into all I'm of that, ok? I just want some fries and a frosty. All in all not a positive experience at all. I...

Asiago Chicken sandwich was great. The window service was truly stressed out. I had forgotten to order a jr hamburger for my fur baby and wanted to ask if it was too late. I didn't notice the lady near the window getting drinks was taking an order when I started to ask and she gave me the wait finger... Understandable but by the time the actual person gathering order came over it was apparently a real bad thing to ask! I forgot what she said but then she asked "what is it that you need?" I told her "a jr hamburger" she said "you'll have to pay for it" I replied "of course" she then turned and shouted "i need a jr cheeseburger"... I tried to yell the correction so drink lady yelled"she wants a hamburge now!" Order picker comes back with hamburger and i handed her my debit card. She said "I can't take that here, don't have cash.. Ok bye bye" and walked away .. I immediately started looking for cash which i hardly use anymore and found 4 quarters. She says "it's ok we're on a timer." So i gave her the dollar and drove away feeling SO BAD for all the trouble i caused! Now I'm re thinking the whole thing and realized there's usually never a problem anywhere else. I feel bad for this team, they all seemed to be struggling and very serious about trying to make it all happen but no one was happy at all! Went through Wendy's Tarpon Springs drive through today... Placed my order without a problem and pulled up to window to pay. Handed my credit card to a woman wearing a face mask as a chin strap. She asked me if I wanted my receipt which I took and thankfully looked at because it was for almost 3 times the price of what I ordered. At first I thought she had given me someone else's receipt but upon closer inspection, I realized it was my credit card that was used for a much larger order... WOW!! 😲 I was still close by so I went in and asked for the manager who came to the counter and after explaining that I had been charged for food that I hqd not ordered (essentially been robbed by one of her employees), she responded "So we owe you the difference", walked off and came back with cash that was LESS than the difference. After pointing out that what she was refunding me was incorrect, she once again walked off and returned promptly with the correct amount. ZERO stars for their service and management!! I am still amazed and very concerned about what happened (I wonder if this has happened to other customers of this...
