I hope the owners don't mind my sharing this experience, but it truly resonated with me. Forget the fact that they have absolutely the BEST cakes anywhere and that they had a GLUTEN-FREE cake when almost no other dessert shop did (still do)! Two Junes ago, I went into the shop to pick up a cake for what I knew would be my last Father's Day with my dad in Charleston. He was in the hospital with an aggressive brain tumor, and we probably wouldn't even get to see him, it being Covid and all. I called my mom to ask which flavor he'd prefer, just in case he got out of the hospital. She told me that he'd just been discharged. Right there in the store, I got emotional. I apologized for my public display and explained to the employee that my kids and I would get to see my dad one last Father's Day! I decided to order both flavors. They went above and beyond to decorate the box and make it look so fancy and nice with an extra "Happy Father's Day" sign and streamers. As they rang it up, the cashier whispered something to the owner, who took over on the register. The order should have cost a very fair $40-$50 or more. However, they were incredibly generous and donated one full cake and gave me a large discount on the other. To say I got emotional again is an understatement! I was touched, honored, and humbled by such random kindness! I've ALWAYS liked and bought Nothing Bundt Cakes because of their delicious gluten-free cakes! But now I LOVE them and refuse to go anywhere else because of their amazing customer service and compassion! Thank y'all for your kindness during such...
Read moreThe new management/owner is disappointing. I was at the door at 8:00, the tall man I'm assuming it's a new owner I've never seen him in the front of the store didn't even acknowledge me standing out in the rain ☔️ and I waited in the rain and soaked waiting for them to acknowledge me, because they clearly saw me, because I wasn't sure if they were going to be kind to me because I am a regular because when I worked at a corporate chain, if my regulars were there, last minute, I would go the extra mile for them l, not that I expected them to do that, but I did expect to be acknowledge at least them lips saying "we're closed" or maybe "one second" but they just allow me stand in the rain and that I was invisible. I just hope maybe forward they just choose kindness and just don't treat people like invisible and at least say hey, we're close and I do see you, but...
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I just had the most divine experience with the Vanilla Bundt Cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes, and I’m honestly speechless. Imagine if a fluffy cloud and a birthday party collided—that’s what it tasted like. It was like a soft, buttery hug in cake form, perfectly sweet but not over-the-top. Every bite is a delightful whisper of vanilla goodness. Honestly, I might need to go back just to double-check if it’s still as magical as I remember (Spoiler alert: It is!).
If you’re a fan of cakes that make you feel like royalty, this one’s for you. Pro tip: Don't share unless you're really in the mood for generosity. 😉 This cake doesn’t just make you smile; it makes you wonder why you’ve been living your whole life without it. Can't wait for my next round of cake-induced happiness. 10/10, would...
