Top notch food, service, and atmosphere. I would bring my family and friends here for a very special meal. Expect to pay for QUALITY and Authentic Japanese. This is not a Chinese restaurant, do not come in here and be ignorant. They are not the same, educate yourself before you walk in asking for Chinese! IT is insulting- to the restaurant and everyone around you, as I witnessed some unruly person ask today. The staff handled that professionally and quietly, but I was furious inside. Please read the menu and see the difference. The Ramen noodles, broth, vegetables, seaweed, and TOFU are a must try. The ramen will fill you up by itself, but the small plates are very appealing. The noodles are fresh, have a nice bite, and taste great. The pork broth is satisfying, not too fatty, but very flavorful. I appreciate the layers of fresh cut scallion, mushroom, pork tenderloin, and egg. I did not need any additional seasonings they offered on the table. It was perfect by itself. My Mother had the Tokyo Ramen. She was pleased with the light and delicate layers. My Father finished his Vegetarian Ramen. Slurped it down in 10 minutes. The bowls they use keep the ramen warm. The chop sticks were nice for my parents to use on their first try. They also were playing Nujabes! Great music, and very fitting! Kuddos to whomever placed that together. The servers are very patient, they make you feel welcome, special, and help answer any questions. They made my Mother feel special on her birthday! Thank you. You must tip here well, Thank the kitchen on your way out, and leave a great review. This restaurant deserves much attention and appreciation. I wish them well and will be back when we are in town! Maybe one day they will open in...

This is our second time a Yoshi Ramen and the experience was just as fantastic as the first time around. We got served both times by Gon, who served us with a huge smile of his face. He made sure to get our order right every time, and checked on us to make sure we were ok. On August 6, some of us had meals while the others had small plates: chicken katsu don was a huge bowl of food. I had the left overs for lunch the next day and the food was still just as good; tonkotsu, Berkshire pork belly bun, Berkshire gyoza, soy milk creamy croquette, kaki fry, spicy coconut shrimp, shrimp lollipop, and Kara-age chicken. In today’s visit we all chose the small plates and repeated these choices a few times. The favorites are the pork belly bun, croquettes, spicy shrimp, and the gyoza. Depending on how much you eat, you can get out of here for about $20-30/person. Some of the meals are as affordable as $14. This location is small so be prepared to wait. Our experience was at most 15 min wait but we were lucky as we saw more people coming in and their waiting times were estimated to be a bit longer than ours. Still a great place to be with great food, still worth the wait. The ambience is great, the staff was friendly. And we are definitely...

Giving a solid 5/5 BUT… The bad - Yoshi Ramen needs to work out the kinks between the kitchen, servers, and bussers. I expect them to figure this out in the coming weeks and I see them doing it. Appetizer came out quickly, kid portion ramen came out soon after, but my adult portion took an extra 15-20 to come out. Also, their builder should come back and wipe all the ceiling lights down because they are still covered with dry wall or paint dust. Maybe consider a way to dampen sound in the honeycomb “cubes” as it gets pretty loud and has echoes.

The good!

Love the seating arrangement. Very unique!

Lollipop Shrimp were fantastic. Good shrimp, great crunch - sweet chili sauce was great. Absolutely will order again.

Kid portions are ordered al a carte, meaning you order a half sized broth, noodles, etc. odd but it also makes sense. He went with shoyu broth, thin noodles, and a ramen egg.

I went with the Spicy Garlic, spice 2/3. SOLID. Great noodle texture, broth was solid, chashu was perfect, etc.

Got a can of coke and a green tea can.

$38 for all that - felt pricey but everything is nowadays.

No food complaints - I’ll definitely be back and hope they streamline...

One of the best ramen I have ever tried and I have tried popular spots in Charlotte (Jinya, Sheng, Yume, Silverlake, Bao and Broth...any many others. I would say it is at the same tier as Menya in taste if you're not looking at a traditional Japanese style ramen. The starters were amazing. We got takoyaki and enjoyed the seaweed it came in it. The karaage chicken had a crispy crust and was juicy inside. It came out after the ramen and after we finished it, the karaage was still hot. The dipping sauce was just kewpie mayo and togarashi so we added some honey from the tea I ordered, snatched a lemon from the water and it made it taste much better. We also got the fried oysters and the sauce that came with that was a perfect compliment. For ramen, I ordered the garlic ramen with spice level 3. It was the perfect spice level for me but it is not for everyone (I added more togarashi because I'm insane). The spiciness was just enough to burn your tongue but still taste the delicious garlic broth. Overall, it was a great experience and would definitely come again to try the other items on the menu.

Probably one of the best ramen spots in the Carolinas! Be aware especially if coming on a weekend that there's a waiting list. Just scan the QR code on the door. It was about a 15-20 minute wait. We were a few of the 10-30 people waiting within an hour of service. I got the House Spicy Garlic Ramen. (level 1 spice) Fantastic. Comparable to places I've had back home in San Diego like Nishiki, Raki Raki, Buta, Santouka and such. I think it is fairly priced (maybe a slight better value) especially compared to competing spots within the region such as JINYA ramen. The interior is unique with the leaves on top, and the 2/3 story honeycomb seating. I give props to every worker walking up and down those steps their entire shift. Also had the Parmesan truffle fries, not pictured but yummy. I'm very glad there is a place like this close enough to the Steele Creek area, the drive isn't far and definitely worth it. I give the staff grief since they've barely opened. I really think they're gonna do well and I hope they succeed. We need to keep a spot like this here.
