Believe the hype – This place is truly legitimate. This is the closest that you will get to a New York/Long Island Style Sit Down Bagel Shop in the Charlotte Region. I’m amazed how close this place is to our apartment in Charlotte. Bagel sandwiches are made to order and these guys actually will get your order correct. They have a wide array of fresh bagels. Toasting is not necessary! Staff/Crew are incredibly friendly, efficient and polite. I can promise you, you won’t get strange looks from staff when you ask for “Scrambled Soft, Everything Bagel – Salt, Butter, Pepper & Ketchup” – Thank You! Great selection of Coffee and Coffee Drinks; - Excellent set up with just the right amount of space to sit down and relax. Staff are efficient and keep things moving right along. Limited “Bottle Necking” – which is a relief. Nevertheless, this place can get very busy. Impressed with the wide assortment of cookies that are sold in the front. Owners are pleasant guys from Massapequa, Long Island. They “Insisted” that I try the Macaroni Salad; - Yes, it was fantastic. We are definitely returning! Calming vibe; All too often, places like this – everyone gets overwhelmed and stressed. These guys really hit the nail on the head with their design of the location and flow/traffic management. Again – Staff are very friendly and customer focused! Bagels were great! Coffee was great! Plenty of parking –...

CRITICAL REVIEW UPDATE: Since our initial review about the incorrect orders we've been receiving, we've since learned it's primarily due to one employee. I don't want to impact his job by putting his name, nor do I want the entire store blamed. But unfortunately there is one employee that will likely get your order wrong, as he has to both me and my wife every time he's taken them.

It's usually subtle details. He easily forgets small items, like a side of cream cheese. We ask for a wheat everything bagel, and he just does everything bagels. We often order a dozen bagels just sliced, and multiple times he didn't slice them. Which sounds innocent enough, but if we don't notice until after storing them in the freezer, we wind up dangerously trying to cut frozen solid bagels.

We now check our orders thoroughly before leaving. However, details like sandwich ingredients or bagel flavor are hard to notice.

Tega Cay Deli, I've changed my review which was initially directed to your entire store. But you may want to talk with your employees about potential accommodations to help manage these details more accurately. As it could be due to reasons beyond...

So I go in there for the first time, with my service dog. I called them first as I always do so they know I have a service dog but they don't answer the phone. Everyone was very nice and friendly and then I get told that they don't allow dogs. Of course. So I told them she is a service dog. They complain she doesn't have a vest. Really? I don't need a vest for her and a vest doesn't have any authority. My papers have authority. I could literally write service dog on a tee shirt and put it on her. In 10 years of taking her everywhere I have had few problems. This one takes the cake though. As I'm standing there they keep upping the ante, already over the top, by telling me to wait outside. OK so you really want to p_ss me off huh? I have enough health problems and I deserve better than that. Regardless of how the food was I won't be back. They need to take their oppressive government mentality back to New York where it belongs and make sure it stays there. I can bring my service dog anywhere I want and I have protection in...

They are a great place to go to eat the best sandwiches in the area. It's just that sometimes, I don't know if it's because of the number of people, they get overloaded and they ruin what I order. I don't like to go and complain. I'm a regular customer there and I don't do it so they don't think I want free food. Never. They are so nice that I overlook this, but I hope they take this into account and tell their employees to repeat the order to the customer to make sure it's correct. Despite this inconvenience, I would definitely recommend this place.
