My husband and I recently dined at Margarita's Cocina Y Cantina for the first time on a Friday evening. Overall, our experience was delightful, and we left the restaurant satisfied with our meal. We both ordered the steak fajitas, and they were everything we had hoped for - a perfect combination of tenderness, juiciness, and well-seasoned flavors. To accompany our meal, we treated ourselves to the Cadillac margaritas, which came with a side shot of Grand Marnier - a thoughtful addition that enhanced the experience. While the margaritas were flavorful, we did find the price of $15 per margarita a bit steep considering the portion size. In conclusion, Margarita's Cocina Y Cantina offers a delightful dining experience with delicious steak fajitas, creative cocktails, and a welcoming ambiance. Whether you're a fan of classic Mexican cuisine or simply looking for a vibrant and enjoyable evening out, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit

Sigh. This was going to be a 5-star review
. UNTIL I watched your beach-boy-haired busboy drop a table-cleaning rag on the floor mid-table cleaning
 look around
 make eye contact with me
pick up the cleaning rag off the floor
and continue to wipe down the table with it. *vomit* It took all of my self-control to not say something. As someone with restaurant management experience, this was appalling. He then proceeds to walk behind the bar and scoop ice for the ice machine (without washing his hands) and fill the ice machine
 And then
grab silverware for the guests that just walked in the door. Guys - your food is delicious. Your drinks are superb. But hygiene? Not a strong suit. Train your staff. Please. That was in the middle of the restaurant
in full view of everyone. PS. I just watched him deliver drinks to a table, without washing his hands after everything I just witnessed.

The food here is Amazing. The Service is just as good. We didn't plan eat here when our night started. We were looking for a nice place to celebrate my Mom in Laws 88 birthday. We stumbled across this Amazing evening by accident. I'm sure glad that we did. Jack and all the staff here were amazing. The food was excellent. But what sent our time over The Top was at the end of the diner the staff sang Happy Bithday to Mom. But also came together to present her with a beautiful gesture or gift of flowers. That's not something that they are required to do. If you haven't visited Margaritas, you should. You want be disappointed. It is now our Favorite restaurant. Thank you everyone there for making it a special night for all of Us.

Updated review: We initially had a pretty bad experience (read below). The next day the manager Vivian called us and wanted to hear our side of the story. After listening to us she was so sweet and apologized, she asked us to give them another chance and would give us 10% off, and free delivery to our air bnb in Fallbrook. She sounded so genuine and explained it’s a family owned business so was bummed to hear about our experience/ our initial poor review. We ended up ordering food, she texted us updates the whole time and drove the food down to us herself. We all answered the door and she personally apologized to everyone and our bride. She even brought 2 bottles of champagne to celebrate the bachelorette! Overall her customer service and genuine apologies saved our experience. I give her 5 stars and the food was amazing! I give them an overall 4 star review just because of the first night’s debacle. Overall WE LOVED VIVIAN!!

Initial 1 star review: I made a reservation for my sister’s bachelorette party. We ended up taking back roads and getting so lost, we called to say we would be 40 minutes late and the guy who answered said it would be fine. We arrived right at the new time but there was no table for us. They said it would be another 40 minutes. I had 5 hangry girls and I was pregnant so we couldn’t wait any longer. The guy who answered the phone came up to apologize and say he messed up and didn’t relay our late message to the staff. He offered to bring us chips at the waiting area and we could order a drink from the bar. We were totally okay waiting since it was our fault we were late. As soon as he brought the chips over the bartender came in HOT and so rude yelling at us that “we couldn’t have chips in the waiting area and it was our fault we were an hour late”. We asked if she knew the situation going on and she didn’t care. I, the pregnant girl was almost in tears and the bride was over it. She was SO RUDE to us. We left and went to Bailey’s down the street and they sat us right away without a reservation and had a live band! It turned all of our moods around and the staff at Bailey’s was so sweet! We do appreciate the guy who was helping us to make the situation right but the bartender...

Me and five of my friends went to Margaritas on a Tuesday evening. We had reservations at 5 PM. Reservations were probably not necessary as they were not very many clients at that time.

When we entered the restaurant, we had to wait in the lobby approximately five minutes before a person came to acknowledge and seat us. I only noticed a woman behind the bar and a young man who appeared to be either a server or a bus person. When we were seated, we were given chips and salsa immediately which were delicious. We needed to ask for water and silverware because none were provided it took approximately 15 minutes for the water to arrive. We didn’t receive our silverware until after the orders were served and then we had to ask for the silverware again. Other people started to arrive at the restaurant between 5;30 and 6 PM and it got slightly busier at that time. I felt that the service was lacking because there wasn’t enough wait staff. However, our server, and the other young man that we came in contact with were very very pleasant.

I noticed that it was taco Tuesday and several of us ordered their street tacos. I felt that the street tacos were excellent and contained ample protein. They had very good flavor and I was very pleased. My friends had other dishes and they were pleased with their dishes as well. I had a strawberry margarita that was very good and my husband had a mango margarita with tajin on the rim. My margarita came with sugar, but I opted to leave it off and they accommodated my request.

The atmosphere is hip, I noticed that the music was upbeat and modern. The decor was pleasant. One of the walls contained a display of cowboy felt hats which I thought was clever and unique.

The only negative comment that I have is they did not have enough servers for the amount of patrons that came in that evening.

I would recommend this restaurant to my friends. I will go to this restaurant again and see if it was an anomaly of having a...

First time finding this place hard to find needs better lighting going down the walkway to front door. Once inside we found a fully pack restaurant and was very loud inside. My wife and I were able to be seated within 5mins. Once seated it took our server a little bit to come over still had to bring serving set up. Then had to bring water and then bring back drinking straws only had one. Found out that they only been open for about a month now and that they were short handed this night. Sitting in the upper area we could see all the restaurant. We both order a Cadillac Margarita that was well made large glass for $15 each. Food was good and hot from the kitchen I had the steak fajitas good portion of meat that came with side of rice and bean normal taste same at most Mexican restaurants. And only two tortillas. Had to ask for more tortillas while waiting my wife already finish when the manager came to our table and ask how everything was, I recommended that they should start people off with three tortillas when food is brought out vs only 2 tortillas. She then offered to reheat my steak due to it getting cold waiting for the extra tortillas which I was glad for. At end of dinner sever never ask if we wanted dessert lost of sale. But what made me write this was being charge for the extra tortillas $2.99 you got to be kidding me I have never been charge for 2 extra tortillas in a Mexican restaurant. The manager should have made sure that I was not charge especially that she had to reheat my food for waiting on getting extra tortillas to begin with. Temecula has a lot of new Mexican restaurant around please don’t charge for customers for something that should have come with the meal. Best of luck and hopefully you can make this work. Follow up from Owner reply. We were only served 2 tortillas both time not...
