Best Mexican food I have had outside of Mexico. I have been eating here since I was in high school. They have come a long way and built themselves up so well that they even have multiple restaurants. If you want some amazing Mexican food made quick and done right, you found your place.

Just because I want to add more to this review as this location deserves it.
I have been coming to this Amado's location for many years... In fact, this is Amado's very first location. I was likely one of Amado's first 50 customers.. Now they have expanded by size of current location and by opening multiple locations. The food is of better quality now as well. I even remember when this Amado's location used to be occupied by circle K. I moved to Oklahoma for 7 years and every time that I would visit Arizona, Amado's was the first place I would request to eat. I had a terrible selection of Mexican food restaurants (if you could even call them that) in Broken Bow Oklahoma. Locals knew nothing of Good Mexican food. Their idea of a taco was something similar to that of Taco Bell. I'm now living in Arizona again (thank the stars) and I enjoy eating at amado's just as much as I have in the 30 years since they opened this location. I now live only a block away from Amado's very first location. Keep doing what you're doing Amado's! And for anybody questioning if you should try it out... Don't! Stop questioning it! You literally will not go wrong ordering anything You see on the...
Read moreLast night was my first time at Amado's. My husband and I were out late and Amado's came highly recommended from a friend who lives in the area.
Everything looked good! We couldn't decide what to get, so we decided to split Amado's platter so we could try several different things.
Everything on this platter was delicious! The ground beef tacos were good, the tortilla tasted fresh. The roll tacos were crunchy and were good, especially when dipped in the green and red salsa (red salsa is fairly hot, use caution if you don't handle heat well, it's very good, but very spicy!). The bean burritos were very good also, I was about halfway through it when I remembered I wanted to try that with salsa too. The quesadillas were delicious! I usually don't like ordering quesadillas at restaurants because I usually feel they either don't add enough cheese or they do WAY too much, but I'd prefer these again, they were perfect. The mini chimmis, I cannot over sell. They were SO delicious! Best part for me was this platter feed both me and my husband for $15!
This place is easy to miss, I may have driven right past it if it hasn't been recommended to us. My recommendation is, if you like Mexican food, you have got to try this place. The guys that were working were so nice and obviously talented cooks. The seating area is small and quaint. Because it was so late, it was really quiet and overall nice dining experience. They do also have a drive thru though if you don't...
Read moreI've been coming to Amado's for 25 years as I own a home in the neighborhood immediately behind it. Their quality is about the same as the Filibert's, which is just diagonally across the street. I ordered 2 items for a total of $20.11. For the first time ever, when I asked for a small side of pico de gallo (in a tiny cup which measures 1 TABLESPOON), I was told the cost is $1.99! In the past they've charged 50cents 75 cents which was still too much when u consider its available in the sitting area for free. When I told this to staff, instead of using common sense and thinking, this customer just purchased more than $20 of food, I'll give her 1 tiny container/ 1 Tablespoon of pico de gallo, the staff member told me I can purchase a larger, 1/4 cup for $4.99.
I will not ever order here again. With Filiberto's across the street, if I get a hankering for cheap mex food, I'll just drive myself 100 yards down the way.
Poor service, average...
