Caribbean Spice — Restaurant in Tempe

I called and ordered my food over the phone. I ordered curry goat and a beef patty. I was not given a total and was told the food would be ready in 15 minutes. I showed up after 15 minutes and paid. The lady at the front went back to check on my order and I could hear some confusion about my order. She came back and said that the cook was cooking curry chicken and not goat( like I ordered). I know I what I ordered because the order what repeated back to me over the phone and it said goat on my receipt. She said the goat will take another 15 minutes, but the oxtails were ready now. I really didn't want to wait because I had my three year old son with me and he was growing impatient. So I said the oxtails would be fine. So I waited another 17 minutes and still no food. Something smelled good but that was all I got was the smell. I just asked for a refund and had to get food some where else. To be honest they seemed liked they didn't understand why I was asking for a refund. I was getting the incorrect food I ordered and it took double the quoted amount of time. This place really needs to step up the way they run...

The food they serve takes time to prepare. It is as they said, a hearty meal. Food tastes good even for the first time caribean food eater like me. Even my very particular 3 year old son likes the food here. I work at a restaurant and the service is much better than some other big restaurants. Just want to tell people that good food takes time. It is not microwaved food or the heat it up in the grill for 2 min. The food takes time and for the good food, takes long time. If you order a pekingese duck in Chinese restaurant, and they serve you in 15 min. It is something wrong since it takes at least 4 hours to cook. And if you want to eat fast, only way to serve is premarke and sell what they have prepared for the day. I prefer a restaurant where they are out of sudden foods rather than having it everytime since that is the only measure of finding the freshness of the food outside...

I've eaten here several times and normally it's just "ok".... but today it was absolutely awful!!! I ordered the jerk chicken. When I opened the container I could see that it was leftovers.....and not just a day old. The chicken was hard, dry and even cold in places as if it had been in the refrigerator and then microwaved. Even the rice wasn't cooked fresh..... The only thing that was fresh on my plate was the jerk sauce they added I guess to make it appear to be fresh......who serves old food in a restaurant! !!??? Needless to say that's the last of my money that they'll...
