Chick & Roll — Restaurant in Tenafly

It Valentine's Day. I walk in and as I am waiting to have my order taken everything I am looking to get is taken by someone not working with in person customers. I ask why re they taking them? They say sorry and laugh. I ask "do y have more? They say they "could make more but..." then stop talking. Did they not want to make them?

I wind up getting something else and as I am leaving I notice the ones they took are just sitting on the side. I ask who are they for? They say "phone order. ". Now explain this. I am there, they give the ones I want to someone else who is NOT there. They could have given to me the ones there and make fresh for the phone order for the person not even there which would be ready when they arrive.

I love the one in Norwood. This 1st experience here was like they didn't care. Happy...

Another Mochinut store has just joined the recent wave, this time in Tenafly. Newly built store, not that big, but there are few chairs and tables to sit and eat.

They have most of the Mochinut products, the donuts, rice dogs and drinks. Prices are same as other stores. Their donuts sell out fast too, not all flavors are available all the time.

The donuts were phenomenal. They were fresh and actually had flavors and not just sugar as a Dunkin might. Ordered an iced coffee. The owner, a very kind man, came over and said they ran out of the iced coffee so they were just going to give hot coffee over the ice and apologized. The owner felt so bad that he refunded the coffee even though there was no way you could tell that the coffee was hot over ice. We insisted that he not refund us because it wasn't a big deal at all. Nonetheless, the owner insisted on giving us our money back which just goes to show how...
