Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Terrell

Horrible experience at the Terrell location, we actually walked out the restaurant and we weren't there but 10 minutes. We arrived at approximately 10pm got sat by our waiter. I noticed that he has a big party so we automatically knew that our waiter was going to take longer. So when he finally got to us we told him that we would give him our entire order all at once, mind you it was just my wife, 2 kids and me so a total of 4. Our server told us he could not take our entire order but that he could get our drink order and any appetizer and the kids orders. So that didn't make any sense to us. I asked him why he couldn't just take our whole order since he had the tablet on his hand and was ready to take our partial order. So he responded with I have another table that arrived before you and I don't want them to get mad because I took your order. I told the waiter ok go take their order then come back and take our order. My wife asked told him she just didn't see what the problem was and he replied to her in loud manner " didn't you just hear what I said?" So my wife told him you know what let's go. So we walked up and left, it takes a lot for us to just walk away but we knew at that point we wouldn't be getting fair treatment. We ended driving to the Chili's in Forney and received excellent service from Cody who was able to take our entire order all at once. The Chili's in Terrell needs to train their employees better. I didn't get our waiters name but he was a white male, bald in his 30s with facial hair. We got sat all the way in the left corner northwest of the building as you walk inside under the TV. Even our waiter at the Forney location didn't see why the Terrell guy wouldn't take our whole order, plus the fact that he was rude and raised his voice was very unprofessional.when I go anywhere and write a review I call it like it is and post excellent reviews when the service was excellent. We got in line via the app which said there was no wait. We were a party of 6. We were the only one in line with visible empty tables. We were seated about 5 min after servers kept walking around chatting to each other. We sat for 30 min with no server acknowledgement. We finally got someone's attention who apologized and gave us silverware. Still no drinks. We sat another 10 min watching 4 servers buzzing around, congregating, chatting and clearing dishes from tables that were done eating but just chatting. We were in disbelief that we could not get anyone's attention. The guy literally was standing at the table beside us chatting away for the longest time while the customers were clearly done eating. We almost reached out to slap him as he attempted to pass again. We told him that we would like to order and get drinks. He just said "oh we only have 2 servers." Well the other 2 people who are wearing chilis shirts just socializing need to become servers! He said he would be right back to get our drink order then disappeared in the kitchen. We got up and left. Walked next door to Olive garden and was seated right away. We had our drinks and breadsticks so fast. OLIVE GARDEN staff treated us like We were in a five star restaurant. The worst experience I've had, it was two weeks ago, it was my 50th birthday and wanted to go to Chili's, so I went in company of my daughter, my son in law and my grandson. We stepped inside and the host girl asked for my name phone number and how many people, then she told me it was going to be 45 minutes before they could seat us and that I was going to get a text message, so we went to the stores around the restaurant and came back 45 minutes later, we stepped inside and another girl with a mean attitude told us that we couldn't wait inside, we waited on the outside for twenty more minutes and I went back inside and asked them how much longer it was going to take, and the same girl, same attitude told me that she didn't know and that I needed to wait outside, about five minutes later a lady came outside and told me that she needed to let me know that they where having a long list of orders to go and couldn't allowed us to come in until they where ready to seat us, I explained her that it was my birthday, that since they had open the restaurant we have tried to eat there and it was always a long waiting time, that my two years old grandson and my eight months pregnant doughter where waiting on the outside and it was hot, she said we could stepped inside and wait standing, so we did.
