I set out with my two co workers for a quick late lunch. As we approached the parking lot hosting several eateries, we debated between which one of them to go to. We quickly settled on Sarku Japan. However the queue at Sarku was long for those who had already ordered but waiting for their orders. Since time was not on our side, we decided to go to the next door Chipotle. At Chipotle, granted there were about 10 people ahead of the line making their orders. We were impressed at the speed of the queue movement and occasional smiles from the servers. Once it was our turn, we made our orders. Great selection between brown and white rice, regular and spicy chicken, ground and cut beef, and spices, veggies, the ever popular guac, sweet relish, tomatoes and lettuce. The service was quick yet professionally done. You could almost tell that the servers had practiced the trade very well. The only downside, as far as I could tell, was the portion of meats served; almost to the point that one could practically synch the eyes of the server and the spoons with the intention of privately counting the pieces. This I knew because once my server scooped what appeared to be slightly more than she meant to serve, she shook the spoon sideways a few times to drop a few pieces back to the tray. I guess that did not do the trick as she wanted and she ended up scooping anywhere between two to three pieces from my bowl back to the tray. Our eyes quickly met awkwardly and none of us said anything, but fully understood that the two of us were standing on opposite sides, diametrically speaking. On the one side, a hungry customer who felt that the extra 3 pieces of meat could have done the trick and on the other side, a trained server with the full knowledge that she had to balance between customer satisfaction and the business bottom line. The personal they need a training to customers services I order a bowl and when the girl put everything except the lettuce that is my favorite part in the plate. She said to me we don’t have a lettuce and I said but why did you not tell me before . And I ask her can you add me something else to replace the lettuce? can be little be of Guac and she said yes of course and when I going to pay .The cashier said no that’s an extra charge for the Guac . And I said I explained to her about the lettuce and she said no we can’t give a Guac for lettuce . Ok I said going to pay the Guac . so tell the manager I want he discount the lettuce because the bowl includes lettuce . and he said no if we don’t have lettuce is a bowl anyways . And the cashier said you don’t know you have to pay extra for Guacamole ? And I said yes but did you know if you buy a bowl with no lettuce is not a bowl is not complete for me. I am paying for what is in the menu so every employee give a opinion just for that simple thing I felt embarrassed every body was looking at me . But if I’m wrong I want somebody. She already gave the wrong beans he was telling her no but it was already to late so he just kept it then she proceeds to give him chicken he’s telling her half chicken half steak she gives full chicken & acts like she can’t understand him and just slides the plate down so someone else can take him at this point we asked the other lady can you please do his order she doesn’t understand English and I’m trying to tell her to just put steak on the bowl the other lady whom supposedly was the manager very rudley barley listens to what we have to say just takes his bowl & throws it in the trash litterally !
