The worst calzone EVER. A real calzone like at Stout’s would have a lot of ricotta because that is the first distinguishing ingredient of a calzone. We wanted to try something different because we were not near Stout’s at Alamo Ranch. We picked up two calzones and when we came home, the only things we saw and tasted in them were mozzarella cheese and the one meat and mine had mushroom instead of the meat. It was like a slice of sausage pizza or mushroom pizza turned over. We even dissected them looking for ricotta and nothing???? We were SO disappointed and thought we would give them a chance to fix it, so when we called the place and asked for the manager, in a combative voice, he simply said he was sorry we felt that way and that they put a layer of ricotta on them first. I told him that either the cook forgot or that is not how a calzone should be. He said NOTHING. Stay away and take your hunger somewhere else. We highly recommend Stout’s off of Shaenfield and will NOT be going back here.

I read the reviews before trying this place out. It's a small place, got some TVs for sports and such. No audio from them. Light volume for background music. Now for the food, mainly went there for pizza. Decided to also get an app, went with the garlic bread with cheese. Buyer beware, it's a basic French bread, lightly coated with garlic butter, light toasted, the cheese looked like it was microwaved on top of the bread. Something you can make at home but paying 7 dollars for it. Will not buy that again. The flavor was bland. Now for the pizza, we chose to try out the local favorite, the 46th st pizzeria special, we asked them leave out the anchovies, because it came with anchovies. The pizza was light on the overall breading, flavor was good, not bad, not worth the 21 dollars for a large (16") though. It is alright overall. 3 stars because it's not all that. Staff was good, service was good. Food...eh. I do not have that, "I have to go back" feel

Delicious greasy NY style cheesy thin crust pizza! I have to say, the best on the west side of San Antonio. I've been trying to find a NY slice of pie for 3 years and occasionally settle for one by a gas station on Potranco, but I am SO TIRED of asking for my pizza to actually be cut (it never is, even after I ask for it). I was hoping this could be my new source for NY pizza, but again, the pizza isn't even sliced (see my picture of the entire pizza lifting with the "slice" 🙄). Still though, it is delicious. The sauce is high quality and the cheese blended deliciously. Loved it. I just WISH that there was more cheese and it would actually be sliced, although these complaints seem to be endemic here in San Antonio. If you bring scissors, you can actually enjoy this pizza! Quality and taste may have me become a weekly regular though.

Howdy, we are new to the area and decided to try a pizza place that wasn't a national chain. This is why we chose 46th. We ordered a large 46th street special pizza. It was kinda soggy and the middle of the pizza was undercooked. There was very little sauce on the pizza causing it to be very topping heavy. To make things a little more disappointing everything was in the center which made the pizza uneven to eat but also the center was undercooked so it made the whole pizza feel soggy. Honestly, you could have told me there was no sauce on the pizza and I would have completely believed you. This was definitely a 1-2 star experience but I will actually be willing to try this place again because I think the smaller pizza sizes could be easier to cook avoiding the under done problem. The smaller pizza would also make the sauce and topping cover more of the dough in theory. The parts of the pizza that were editable were good so that's why we want to try again.

TLDR: large pizza was underdone, little sauce, and poor placement of ingredients. Will be trying a smaller pizza next time in hopes of a better pizza and potentially a...
