We've eaten Brother's Pizza for years, but today was our first visit to this location. It's adorably decorated with chrome accents and has plenty of natural light. If you're dining in, which we did, you can sit at a table or pick a stool at a bar that faces out the window toward the sidewalk.
They let us know our pizza would take 15 minutes and it did, which is about right for a freshly baked pie.
A friendly server we chatted with let us know they take call-ahead orders even if you're dining in, which is super convenient and something we'll definitely take advantage of next time.
She also said for their busier Friday and Saturday nights, you can call ahead for dine-in, place your order, and they'll tell you what time to show up for your hot pizza so you don't have to wait as long.
I loved how helpful and welcoming this employee was, and I wish I had caught her name.
The pizza is a gift from heaven. You can get it by the slice, which I think is a bit faster than a whole pie. But there's something so rewarding about coming in super hungry, waiting 15 minutes while absolutely tortured by the delicious aromas and happy neighboring tables enjoying their food before you see your beautiful, fresh, hot pizza coming toward you.
Pro tip #1: Wait a minute or two longer before you dive into your first slice. It's super hot when it comes out and the cheese needs a moment to rest before it's just right.
Then take your first bite. Pure bliss. The crust is true NY style and never soggy. The cheese is melty and stretchy and everything pizza cheese is supposed to be. The sauce amount is perfect for my taste (I prefer light sauce). It's a perfect pizza.
Pro tip #2: Do yourself a favor and order nothing smaller than a large. This pizza is best in large slice format. If you can't eat it all, just take the rest home and eat it later. My husband and I got a large pizza and two soft drinks for $21. We took half the pizza home.
This place is an absolute gem and we look forward to returning for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came into this establishment lastnight to have a quick dinner with my husband around 8 o clock. We got our pie around 8:30 and we started eating. We finished up around 8:46 and a hispanic guy with glasses he was stalking us the whole night because he was cleaning up and obviously wanted us to leave. So I asked him where can I throw my pie box away and he said rudely to just leave it there. I said okay and he proceeded to tell me that I should have got my food to stay instead of wasting their boxes. So I couldn't believe this clown was talking to a paying customer who frequents the shop. He was nice to the other families who were eating there I guess because they were a color(WHITE) he liked. Because I cannot for the life of me understand who would telling a paying customer they are wasting his boxes and that they pay 50 cent for a box. I called the manager Flora and I understand why that clown thinks it's okay to speak to customers however he feels like because she had an attitude and was rude too. She told me her family has been in business for 30 years so that gives him and you the right to have attitudes and talk crazy to your customers. I am so LIVID, not one apology nothing, just her telling me I am calling her family racists. How could that be when I am ONLY talking to you about my experience with the clown in the glasses??? And he is not even family or a manager. Because he has worked there for years it is okay for HIM be PREJUDICE! Thank you to the young lady with brown hair and glasses for her excellent customer service. BUT they DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ME AND MY FAMILY COMING BACK THERE!!!! I WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME TO HELP PAY THAT PREJUDICE CLOWN'S OR THAT RUDE MANAGER'S SALARY! THIS PLACE IS FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE MEDIOCRE PIZZA AND IS OKAY WITH BEING RACIALLY PROFILED. #GOODLUCK #WASTEOFMONEY #RUDE #PREJUDICE #MEDIOCREPIZZA...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have ordered from Brothers pizza through door dash for over a year and never have had a problem. Yesterday on July 4th we once again placed an order for 9 pizzas to Brothers pizza. There was no indication on doordash App that stated Brothers was closed and the order was placed for over $140. We waited 65 minutes only to have the door dash driver call us to say the pizza place was closed. Apparently Brothers did not tell door dash and the monetary transaction was taken from our bank account despite Brothers being closed. We ordered from Papa John's and were able to feed 16 teen boys despite the ordeal. DOOR DASH was kind enough to refund our money after a lengthy conversation, and the supervisor told us they had no clue the restaurant was closed. I wonder how many other folks in the Cypress area has to deal with that inconvience on a holiday. Piece of advise Brothers...... Door Dash is a Big Deal and an App that isnt prone to mismanagement. Communicating with this App and getting your hours correct will save u bad reviews. I agree with customer John Teeters Taking $130 out of a bank account is theft when you dont deliver the product AND FAIL TO respond to phone calls for retrieval. That is a HUGE OVERSIGHT and one that could land you in a court of law. Make the necessary changes and apologize to Mr Teeters and the remainder of your clientele that have been underserved and charged. Your google response was full of poor excuses at best. We enjoy your pizza but this huge oversight and mismanagement needs to be addressed...
