Urban Bird Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Texas

Finally got the chance to check them out and they did not disappoint. I met a friend for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and the dine in area was relatively empty, but there was a constant flow of customers placing orders and taking them to go. We placed our order and waited about 5-7 minutes for it to come out. I ordered the Nashville Hot Tendo Sandwich with fries and a drink. I requested the slaw on the side. She got the same flavor, but in tenders. I took a bite from my sandwich without the slaw to taste the flavor. It was 😋. The sandwich had the right amount of heat and sweetness. The chicken was juicy and hot (temperature). I tasted the slaw before adding it to my sandwich and it was ok. Nothing crazy about it. What I liked was that it wasn't all mayo like most places, that's all you taste. What I didn't like was the kale in the slaw. Don't get me wrong, I like kale, but served this way, no. I did add it to my sandwich to add some crunch and help balance the heat (temp). The crinkle fries were good. There's a selection of fountain drinks and lemonades. Food was prepared poorly and there was barely any Mac and Cheese in the Mac and Cheese dish I paid 13.25 for, which I had emphasized was my favorite part. I heard many similar complaints in the store, including someone literally trying to return their food because it wasn't what was listed on the menu at all.

Service was terrible, with the employees consistently arguing with other customers and employees in the store over food they messed up; I came for good chicken and had to listen to GROWN ADULTS trying to reason with a kid who I'm sure paid just as much as me for poor quality food. I almost was going to step in because the kid literally looked like they were about to cry.

Two tables were already broken down and almost all tables (of which only two were taken) were dirty. I had to clean the one I sat at.

Overall terrible experience. It is clear this restaurant is not for people who want to enjoy good food and relax after a long week at work. I will never be coming here again and advise anyone reading to go to the one in...

Absolutely terrible service.. cashiers let you stand there for 5 minutes while they gossip and play on their phones when restaurant isn’t busy. Then barely acknowledge you and seem irritated while taking your order while also making you repeat your order 3-4 times and still get it wrong. Not just one occasion but I’ve been here multiple times and had the same experience. Then when I tried to call in the order I was on hold for 10 minutes just for the person who answered to not understand me due to language barriers and kept saying 12 piece when I was trying to order a 4 piece. I hung up as I was pulling in because it took so long for them to answer. When I get there. THE PLACE WAS EMPTY. So why did it take so long. Plus there was a huge pile of throw up at the main entrance!! MANAGEMENT HAS FAILED THIS PLACE!! They have amazing food but everything is so bad I honestly won’t be back.
