Wow-mazing! I totally had to create a new word to describe my experience here. Simply wow-mazing!
Okay, I have visited this building for many different restaurants that have come and gone. It's a really ideal spot for a restaurant and with a nice little patio with a great view. So upon finding out that it was now open as an Indian restaurant I honestly had no interest in visiting it as I wasn't much of a fan of Indian food. At least that's what I thought.
On a pure whim in search for something different than the norm, we went for it to try at least the nice bar. This spot has always had a nice bar setup and still today as an Indian restaurant that reputation stands.
We were completely blown away from the amazing signature cocktails they had on the menu. From the amazingly good crisp and cold beer to the monkeying around cocktail, the drinks are consistent and perfectly balanced. I suggested to the staff that they should put up a big billboard and advertise that drink as an Indian margarita. It's extremely good and totally warrants to be viral.
Now I don't know much about Indian food so I asked if they had anything I could try that doesn't have ginger or tumeric as I'm not a fan of those 2 flavors. They indeed recommended the lamb or goat Tikka Massala. I indeed ordered it. It came out family style, you know a platter of it with a platter of rice and fresh made naan bread.
Ahem. It was absolutely exquisite! I was very pleased with my meal. And then I remembered that India was known also for its spiciness. I love spice and my meal didn't have spice to it. So I asked if they had any type of spicy sauce. (I wasn't trying to say Tabasco sauce and stick out like a stereotype, so yeah, lol) they responded by bringing me their special hot sauce. I poured it on my goat and immediately my whole dialect changed. Wow-mazing! I felt like I was reborn again. That flavor profile changed my eating habits forever. It was a total ratatouille moment, like the cartoon. At some point in time I had to realize that in another life I must have been from India. It was a game changer in my mouth.
Since then I have been back 3 times and ordered that same meal and also ordered it to go once. Very consistent and extremely good. Even the rice is exquisite.
So. I totally recommend this place to all on this planet. This is a fairly new spot in the Cypress area and it's worth going viral. It's a must visit for any foodie especially if you have an open pallet to experience new flavors, ideas and culture.

Read moreYesterday my husband decided to take me for dinner to this newly opened Indian restaurant in Cypress and I must admit that I was a little apprehensive as most of the Indian joints have disappointed me but this place beat my skepticism hands down.
We order veg thali for 2 as I wanted to understand the spice level and if the flavours are in tandem with our palette but to be honest these guys followed the instructions to the brim.. amazing !! Like my request for mild spice was mild and ghar ka Khana ( home cooked food ) taste actually was bang on.
We enjoyed the starters, soup and meal and dessert that came in the thali and it was fully satisfactory. The salt content wasn’t too high, neither the food was greasy or overly spicy. They know to cater individual tastes and well. Naan was so fluffy and soft and all the vegetarian dishes tasted amazing.
The only challenge for us was the mango lassi and we like our lassi without sugar and they didn’t have no sugar option. I hope they can manage no sugar mango lassi for us next time..!!!!
My hubby insisted that I eat gulab jamun and boy it was 😋..
I am so glad that we finally have a nice Indian food place closer home which I had been praying for the last two years as some other joints I have visited are not consistent with salt, oil and spice levels in food..
Keep up the...
