Smashburger — Restaurant in Texas

My family and I had a horrible experience tonight. We ordered our usual meal. When ordering my sons kids' meal, we always sub for black bean patty because we are vegetarian. The cashier was new, so she asked the so-called "GM" how to ring up the order. Nelly "The GM" proceeds to tell us we can not sub the black bean patty for the kids' meals. We were very confused because not only have we ordered this multiple times with no issue, but their sign clearly states we can "sub a protein on any burger. At this point I explain to her that we ordered this before and Nelly"GM" is going back and forth with me and says "I will do it this time but I will tell my staff we are not suppose to." To me, this is clearly false advertising because why can't we sub a for a black bean patty like I've been doing, especially if the sign says that we can. Anyways, in the middle of me talking, Nelly tells me, "I'm trying to be nice, and I told you I will do it this time." At this point, she tells the cashier to finish up with what she was doing before, and she will ring me up. Nelly continued to be rude and shoves the change in my husband's hand along with the soda cups. We will not be returning to this smahsburger because Nelly ruined our whole experience, and as GM, I expected way more from her. I don't know who hired her, but they made a mistake. I can only imagine how she treats...

First time at Smash burger. It has the same price point area per combo as Five guys and Fuddrucker. The environment is clean and sanitized. The menu is partially missing possibly due to an mechanical error. The cashier was extremely nice. I promptly order my food (CYOB Create your Own Burger) Double Patty, Fried Egg 🍳 with Bacon, Smash burger sauce, Lettuce, and Made Medium Well. The burger was delicious unfortunately I knew the flavor too well. The burger taste just like a Wendy's burger. They have similar taste with the Exception of the sauce and the buns. The only other difference to differ from the Wendy's burger is the bacon unlike Wendy's where the bacon is the same Everytime. The bacon from Smash Burger is homestyle or Made from actual raw bacon cooked as you order the food. To sum it up, The burger taste just like a Wendy's burger, With the exception of Sauce, Bun and Bacon. I visited the Northpark location and Chef Leroy was amazing. He was super nice and was advocating for all the best options. I want to give 5 starts based on my interaction with him, however, the manager (I think her name was Judy? ) was being very loud screaming at her employees making the whole atmosphere very uncomfortable for everyone. The chef she was yelling at, that I could see, was Chef Leroy. He was very calm during this interaction and I could hear her order him to "ask the customers if they heard you screaming". May I mention, myself nor anyone around me had heard anything from anyone other than her before this. Not only was she screaming, she was also cursing very loudly causing other customers to also become aware of the situation. I will not be back to this location based on this experience. I hope they make a change in management as this was severely unprofessional and...
